Perfect for me! Love the usb mp3 playback!
I think this is a nifty addition to the sound systems in a part of my haunted house attraction!!! Mp3 player loops for days! Handy little mixer too! And the old school delay sounds killer for slapback! I need 10 of these!!

great sounding basic mixer with a USB player, but needs a better manual.
The MAXTOMARS B4 4-Channel Mixer is a basic/simple mixer with some contemporary touches like a USB player, multi-band EQ, and built-in delay effect. The sound quality is quite clear and full. Channels one and two are set for either microphones or line in from an instrument (guitar, drum machine, bass, etc) with a built +48v Phantom power option. Both channels have separate -15bd to +15bd High and low frequency adjustment knobs and separate gain and volume knobs. The are limited to stereo so you cannot pan L/R. The delay effect is applied to Channels 1 and 2 output simultaneously. You cannot either have the delay (with it's adjusted settings - delay length and repeat duration) or not. You cannot decide which channel receives the delay effect.Channels 3/4 (essentially L and R) are meant for input from a CD player or Turntable with XLR inputs with a gain and volume control knob for acting on both simultaneously. Again, the delay has no effect on either channelThe USB player was a bit confusing. The manual is very vague where this input is concerned. It features a USB 2 type B connector. I tried connecting a simple USB player (not an iPod as I no longer have one), but nothing happened, even tried my phone, but then ultimately I copied some samples onto a flash/thumb drive, which worked perfectly. The USB player begins playing automatically (led is active red). You can pause by tapping the play button again (led blinks red) you can skip tracks forward/backward and repeat, which can be useful with tracks meant for looping. The USB player has a separate volume control knob. There is a volume knob to control L/R Balanced 1/4 Jack Master outputs and/or a 1/4" stereo headphone jack. There is dual 5 Segment L/R LED Meter for master level. Also there is a clip LED per channel. If your needs are for a basic mixer, controlling a microphone or two with some additional inputs without professional mixing this is a great mixer. If you are looking for more options, look to the MAXTOMARS professional series of mixers.I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. It works very well for what it does, but the really minimal manual might trip up a new/inexperienced user. The internet is your friend. A few searches explained what the manual didn't though the USB player feature was a trial and error. As I said, copied some loops onto a flash drive which I plugged directly into the USB port on the mixer. You will want to have to have your playlist set and perhaps printed out as there isn't a display to let you know what track is currently playing. Keep track of the tracks you have already played or are skipping, too, otherwise you might get lost.
