This product is super cute. It’s difficult to use and when my work fell off the pegs it was hard to get it back on without causing a disturbance in the stitch. But in the end my work came out as I wanted it to, so I was glad I bought it.

Knitting Bee Works, but...
First, let me explain that I'm quite new to knitting, so I do not have any advanced knowledge or experience. What I can offer is my observations from the point-of-view of a beginner. This product is actually my second French Knitting tool. I wasn't sure what the Knitting Bee would entail, but I ordered it anyway because it was cute and green, my favorite color. Certainly, the bee can be a conversation piece. The plastic pom-pom maker also caught my eye, and I thought that would be a fun edition to my crafting. The product arrived on time and was new--as expected. My out-of-the-package impression was that the Bee is rather small--smaller than my wooden doll, and the four pegs are rather short and skinny. They also are placed differently. (If you are able to see my pictures, you can compare the bee to the wooden one. Knitting Doll ) Fortunately, I was using thin yarn. I do not believe thick yarn would work with this tool. The first time I tried to use the Knitting Bee, I encountered problems getting the process started, which proved to be frustrating. The yarn kept slipping off the pegs. So, I practiced and stayed at it until I succeeded. After I mastered the start up, I had to be careful to hold the yarn a bit tightly as I worked to avoid unraveling. To make the process easier for me, I use a small crochet hook rather than the stick (awe) that comes with the product. Someone with smaller, more flexible hands might be able to use the Knitting Bee more easily than I can. Please look at my pictures as they will allow you to see my Knitting Bee in action and some of the details I've mentioned. Once you get into the rhythm of it and you mind your yarn tension, the knitted i-chord moving out the bottom looks rather nice. So, I am happy with my purchase, and I give the Knitting Bee four stars. I will confess that I have more fun with the pom-pom maker, which has worked well for me. :)
