VerHandy tool. I use it all the time to measure the temperature of my cast iron before adding food. The ring of laser dots is helpful compared to the single dot on most thermometers.It's very sluggish and inconsistent when being woken up with a trigger pull. The Etekcity thermometer gives you a reading in 1-2 seconds every time. This one takes much longer. 5-10 seconds, sometimes needing multiple trigger pulls to wake up.

This works like a charm. Both the infrared gun and the probe work perfectly and give instant temperature. I'd buy it again.

Slow display updates for IR.

Followed the instructions and it never took anyone's temperature properly. Everyone's temperature reading came back between 72 degrees and 92 degrees. I had multiple people read the instructions and try. This product does not work.

Within a few days of arriving, I began having trouble with the screen not turning on. Now the switch rocks and seems loose. I'll need to return for replacement.
