Jacobi Jayne Droll Yankees Sunflower Heart & Seed Mixes Hanging Feeder Tube for Small Birds Seed, Green, Large

Bought this for my wife as she had raved about Droll Yankee feeders above all others, since the feeder tube on the old 6 port one has gone so "cloudy" and the screws are rusting. It has a patent no. on it 3568641 She bought it many moons ago through C.J. Wildbird foods as they were then known. More importantly, the birds love their shiny new Droll Yankee, so the birds thank her, she thanked me and I thank you!

Great bird feeder. Very sturdy and well made and comes with a lifetime guarantee! I would have awarded five stars but for the excessive packaging it came in.

an excellent feeder with accessible ports and very attractive - i have a small patio and think that this feeder would be better in a larger garden where it can be situated higher up. Sadly, the pigeons have found a way to perch on the feeder and are chasing the smaller birds away - the pigeons can easily get at the seeds.

This feeder is much to thin and there is not enough space between the feeder ports innards which means the seed cannot by force of gravity fall to the feeder ports. Gaps of nothing but fresh air appear where the birds should feed from. You can make the seed fall by hitting the feeder by hand or in my case a clothes line prop because the feeder is high up in a tree. If you don't do this the birds don't eat. I consider this to be a serious design fault and the feeder is not fit for purpose.I feed Sunflower heart chips and feeding Sunflower hearts would result in the same outcome.

I have tried a number of wild bird seed feeders over the years, however, since purchasing Jacobi Jayne feeders, I have found the quality of manufacture, great design and ease to clean and maintain, just superb. I have three of the largest Droll Yankees Heart and Seed feeders and one of the Jacobi Jayne Large Big Easy feeders and our birds absolutely love them for the ease of feeding. I wish I had changed to them earlier!

This is a really sturdy seed feeder which comes with two free round perches. It's been up in my garden for over a week and the birds love it. I've had blue tits, chaffinch and robins feeding from it. I'm guessing this is an earlier version of the Jacobi Jayne feeder as there are no gadgets to take it apart for cleaning, you will need a screwdriver for that, but i'm still very pleased with it.

Very robust. The birds like the little plastic perches that snap on to the metal perch pegs so I ordered more. Longer than my other 6 perch feeder

Compared to other seed feeders these are much better quality; but of course you pay a little extra. One minor comment is that I've bought these for several years, however, the plastic seems to be getting thinner.Easy to clean.
