Batman of the 1960's returns!
This is an excellent animated film. For fans of the live-action 1960's Batman TV series, this is a real treat. It's based on that show, with stars Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar reprising their roles of Batman, Robin and Catwoman. This is a feature-length movie, which tells the story of certain dastardly villains - the Joker, Penguin and Riddler - stealing a replication ray, capable of making a perfect duplicate of anything! And these crooks set about causing mayhem while Batman is intoxicated by Catwoman's "Batnip"! This adventure takes us on a journey from the stately Wayne Manor all the way to a hijacked space station - and it's a whole lot of fun. It's great to experience West and Ward revisit their iconic versions of Batman and Robin, and this 50th anniversary film is a perfect offering. It blends laughs with action, and the nostalgia value alone is worth the price of the Blu-ray! There are a couple of short featurettes, featuring cast and crew reflecting on the making of this film. And the Blu-ray comes with three post-card sized art prints. For fans, both adults and children alike, of this lighthearted Dynamic Duo - who are ever-present to save Gotham City - I highly recommend this movie.

A nice change but not amazing
Whilst i did enjoy the change of pace from the normal DC animated universe i have to say that i thought that Adam West sounded very old and tired in this, and there was none of the vocal energy you would associate with his playing of Batman. It made the whole film seem just a little bit sad to me.The voices of the supervillains were all pretty good imitations of the actors that played them at the time, especially the Joker who on one or two occasions could have actually been Cesar Romero. All in all the story is very silly and self referential, including a few subtle digs at the naivete of the original show, but i was not as captivated by this as i had hoped to be.

Whack, Biff, Pow!
A wonderful animated return to the caped crusader of my generation, along with all the camp innuendos and humour. Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar all return to voice their iconic characters along with the appearance of minor characters that we loved in the original. The only downside is that given Adam West's age his voice betrays the youthful character presented on screen.

Holy Fun Times.
Highly enjoyed this animated version of the classic Batman. It has the 4 main, favourite villains in it. It also pays homage to the classic series with some in jokes that some viewers will get. Though batman does not sound d the same as he did back then but that is only because Adam West is a lot older. There are some bat vehicles in here that I cannot remember from the original series. Also watch the full end credits to see batman dancing.

To the Batcave!
How much fun is this? As a kid I was so excited when Batman came to TVand I enjoyed this just as much. A clever story, imaginative gags, and knowing while still loving its source material. A marvelous antidote to all the dark Batman stuff. Why can't DC's live action movie be this good? Fingers crossed for Wonder Woman.

A great continuation of the 1960 batman series
As a fan of the other DC animated films I thought I'd give this a try. It's a great follow on from the '66 series, and also manages to include some references to later incarnations of Batman in some moments.Worth a watch for any fans of Batman.

this is a good movie if you are a fan of the 60's tv show and movie ... it captures the spirit of the show and there are plenty of references (easter eggs) to the old tv show .....it also features a lot of the villains that appeared in the show.a bonus for me was seeing the comic covers coming to animated life in the opening credits as I have a piece of artbased on one of them.all in all a great movie for fans of the Batman tv show ....
