NKJV, End-of-Verse Reference Bible, Personal Size Large Print, Premium Goatskin Leather, Brown, Premier Collection, Red Letter, Comfort Print: Holy Bible, New King James Version

I bought an end-of-verse reference Bible several years ago (the compact size, with some type of imitation leather cover) and fell in love with it. It became my daily reader, and I bought a couple more at a Christian book shop as gifts for my wife and a friend. My eyesight took a random nosedive a couple years later (astigmatism, age 29 at the time), and overnight the print became somewhat uncomfortable to read. I discovered that the large print, personal size, end-of-verse reference Bible was paginated the same way as the compact, so I bought one (also imitation leather). It was really nice having everything in the same place, on the same page numbers as the compact, which had become like a familiar friend.I found that the imitation leather covers were showing significant signs of age after about a year of use, so I upgraded this past year to this goatskin leather version for longevity’s sake. The cover is soft and beautiful. The paper quality is definitely a marked step up from the other versions of this Bible I have owned. There was nothing wrong with those, but the paper on the leather version looks cleaner, and the print is sharper. There is less bleed-through, and the font is easy to read. The other versions I own have two ribbons; this one has three, and that seems to be the perfect number. I am able to mark the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament readings of the day from my devotional lectionary. If you attend a liturgical church, you can mark the OT, Epistle, and Gospel readings for Sunday worship.If the Lord wills it, I hope to wear this thing out over the next 10-20 years. The end-of-verse reference Bibles have been my companions for years now, and I truly love them. This is my favorite version by proxy, given the upgrade in paper and cover quality. I will probably get more of these in the coming years and leave them in the box until it’s time for me to retire the one I have.

I gave this Bible to my granddaughter for her Quincenera and she and the family love it!Made with quality materials and just really classy and traditional. Very happy with my purchase and knowing that this is now one of our family heirlooms.

This Bible is very nice. The font is a good size and readable. Seems well made. Nice leather. Not too much bleed through.

I was looking for a Bible with larger font that's easy to read and I wanted it to be in a format that makes it easier to find the verses. I also didn't want a Bible so big that it couldn't be used as my every day carry Bible. This fits all the criteria perfectly.I measured it and it comes out to about 9" long, 6" wide and about 1 3/4" thick. I believe the description on Amazon for this Bible is incorrect for the dimensions. I was relieved to see that it is smaller and more portable. I love how easy it is to quickly find the verse I need. Each verse is broken up into its own paragraph and the verse numbers are large as well.I love the feel of this Bible. The leather (goat skin) is very soft and the Bible itself is supple, but not so floppy that I can actually hold it in one hand by the spine and it still lays in a way that I can still read both pages. It's built so well for practical functionality and versatility and is a very good looking Bible inside and out.Before I found this Bible I was looking at others in the price range of about $150 to $250. This is as good, if not better than any of those. So glad I found it before I purchased one of the others that have been in my wish list for a long time as this one is fairly new as it has only been on the market for a short while now.I could not recommend this Bible enough. I believe that it will be the last one I will ever have to buy for myself.

I was looking for a Bible with an easy to read font and visually friendly layout, without going to a giant print and a giant Bible. This is it! The leather cover is supple and beautiful, feels great in the hand. Most importantly, I can read with ease and not getting eye strain. This is a terrific Bible and I’m glad that I chose it.

This is a great bible and something I'm sure I'm going to use quite a bit going forward.Pros- The paper is fantastic. 36 GSM and you can feel it!- The size. While it's a bit chunky, it's still a great personal sized premier bible.- The font is pretty much perfect- The NKJV layout is really well done. With poetic settings and so much more.Cons- I really dont think this is goatskin leather. At least not like the other leathers I've seen in the Premier Collection. It's not bad, it's just not that super soft feel and touch I'm used to it. Much stiffer and not a subtle.- Like I mentioned, it is a bit chunky and on the heavy side. But that's because of the 36 GSM paper.Overall, it's a great bible and well worth the price. Tons of great features and Thomas Nelson still has some of the best premier bibles on the market.

AMAZING value and quality! I have been bible shopping EVERYWHERE and this is by far the best quality I’ve seen even compared to some $300+ bibles! The goatskin is more supple than most, it lays flat, has nice gutter spacing, large print and the pages are thicker than most yet feel like silk. It’s amazing the difference in paper quality compared to so many others I tried. I love it!!!
