Cheap quality. Light leaks.
I bought two of them for kids' Christmas stocking stuffers. Both have the same problem: there is light leakage, causing an errant cresant moon shape near the "eye" of the laser pointer (see attached picture). This is present on any of the laser pointer filters. It does not appear to be easily fixed.

My DOG loves it!!!
I rescued a 1.5 year old German Shepherd Dog this summer who is full of energy and never seems to get tired of playing. One day I noticed that he was eyeballing the light reflecting off my computer and when I move it he chased the light. So I bought this laser toy and he goes CRAZY over it! Every night before we go on a walk I shine the laser up and down the yard, it will go out at least 200 ft. The dog runs and runs and then when we go out for our walk he's so much easier to handle. He loves to play indoors too, he will literally sit and stare at me for 20 minutes until I pull out the laser toy. So maybe I have a cat? LOL! The little smiley face, UFO and other lights are cute but they don't shine as bright, so I don't use them. I love that you can plug it in to a mini USB to recharge it, no batteries. The non-laser light isn't very bright but I do use it on our walks to light up the path and it works fine.

You get what you pay for - nicely packaged but otherwise worthless
After charging overnight it did turn on and worked as a flashlight and a point, but both were laughably dim. There is a rotating thumbwheel on the device that spins but does nothing else that I could see. A few hours later I picked it up to experiment some more and it was completely dead. Junk.

Great for play with shelter kitties.
Bought this to use at a shelter with the kitties. It works great since they have claws they are no actually catching it and destroying it like string toys. The change of pattern is fun for me even and seems to interest different cats.

This is a fun toy
I like it. It works well and it’s more fun than a regular laser. Got it for my puppy for Christmas. I’m kind of relieved he seems less addicted to this one as opposed to his other one lolDocked a star because there’s always the square outline showing when you point the laser.. smiley face surrounded by a bit of background, if that makes sense. Probably not.It’s cool.

Don't waste your money, doesn't hold a charge!
Was able to use the red laser for at least 2 hours on the initial charge. After fully depleting and recharging 2-3x, now it won't hold a charge after just using the red laser for 10 minutes. Don't buy, doesn't hold a charge after a couple of uses.

I didn't think they would care but my cats LOVE the other shapes. The larger patterns makes it easier for them to keep an eye on and pounce on. I rarely have to charge it and it is so convenient to not have to hold a button down for the laser to be on. Highly recommend for pet owners.

Includes USB cord for recharging
The display options are fun but my cat really just prefers the red dot (which is also has as a display option). Appreciate that it came in a small case that also included a cord for charging in any USB outlet.
