These brackets are perfect. I had to replace a bracket that had recently broken on the passenger side of our Ford Explorer. It took about 10 minutes to replace the original bracket with one of these brackets. These replacement brackets are much better made and stronger (metal versus plastic) than the original bracket. I was glad that I purchased the two pack unit because I ended up replacing the drivers side bracket which had broken yet but which was obviously about to break when I started to disaassemble this bracket. These brackets are exactly as advertised and really simplify this task. I highly recommend purchasing these brackets if you're having issues with your visor.

This repair kit has the visor rod holder made of metal instead of yhe plastic original one. A lot better than the factory one.

Great value and better than the originals so far. Google for installation because they are made for left or right side yet look identical.

The plastic mounts that were factory installed crumbled. I was hesitant to buy these as the product description failed to mention what they were made of when I was searching for replacements. After receiving them I realized that they did not come with mounting screws which would have been helpful as my visors fell off two years ago (driver side) and eight years ago (passenger). took a minute to locate metal replacements at a decent price. Mounts are solid and easy to install. Most difficult part of the process was removing the mount cover.

original on my explorer was plastic this is made of metal. This was a exact fit and will outlast the vehicle.

Works great! Please note 924-279 is for the drivers side and 924-280 is for the passenger side, trust me I tried one backwards and it did not work. You don't need to unplug/remove the visor, you can do it with it hanging there, just takes a little finagling. Don't forget to put the clear plastic sleeve piece on as well. I re used the old plastic covers since the new ones are shinier and I prefer the factory look. Really nice to have these working again!

Product was exactly as advertised, easy to install, metal pieces not the cheap plastic crap that was supplied as OEM from Ford. Sun visor works great now. Very happy.

The media could not be loaded.  Super recomenado el kit, no es exactamente el ajuste para una Mariner 2008, pero con un poco de trabajo extra quedaron super firmes, importante no remover la parte plastica que queda remanente despues de que se quebra la parte plasica esa servira para el ajuste posterior, tambien recomendado un par de tornillos "busca-rosca" para reemplazar uno de los originales, dude mucho en comprar el juego pero despues de preguntar el precio en varios yonkes o deshuesaderos (no encontre partes de refaccion) el precio de una sola visera era superior al juego de brackets para las dos, llego super rapido y se hizo todo el trabajo en un par de horas por el extra que se debio hacer, en fin super satisfecho con la compra.

Never would I have imagined such a thing had existed. A new visor from the Ford dealer retails for about $140, so was quite pleased to find these. Easy to assemble and work great. Never need to worry about these breaking like the OEM plastic bases do. The covers that come with these are perfectly serviceable, but have a gloss finish. The OEM have a textured finish and fit these bases if yours are in good enough condition to reuse.
