Lovely book!
Lovely book. Beautifully written story (and i’m assuming self published maybe ?), so all the more respect to Blake. However I’m such a nitpicker and it’s bugging me while reading that i’m so painfully aware the text is printed wonky on the right side page at the start of the book (page 7). I was thinking of rating a star lower because of this but honestly it really isn’t such a big deal and doesn’t detract from the book. Just thought it would be useful people to know so buyers can avoid the surprise if theirs comes the same way. Also i’m not the biggest fan of the spine design and really wish that it was blank, without the little shapes because it really doesn’t fit with the beautiful simplicity of the cover, which is so elegant looking, as opposed to the spine which just makes it look like just another YA book on my bookshelf. But apart from that it’s a lovely book and wld 100% recommend.

A book to love
This story is beautiful. I absolutely adore a good flawed character, a character aware of their flaws, their weaknesses, how fragile they are. This book has two.Aldo and Regan are so right and so wrong at the same time. Strong and weak. Flawed and perfect. Lovable and despicable, all at once. Some lines in this book just took my breath away. They were so ethereal and unworldly, I felt consumed by their beauty. It had been a long time since I read a book that I tried to make sense of while it made perfect sense.Highly recommended.

lovely read!
alone with you in the ether- olivie blake☆ ☆ ☆ ☆/5 stars✧˖ °i loved this book so much, the way olivie blake writes characters who are in love is so beautiful and addictive.struggling with mental health issues myself i really related to some of the aspects that regan dealt with in this book, it really felt like i was understood. i really liked the sciencey part of the book too, made me feel super smart even though i know nothing about quantum physics or the concept of time travelling.i enjoyed reading the slower parts of the book because it really emphasised how one partner in the relationship was fast paced and the other was wanting to move slower and needed more structure but was feeling like he was spiralling, the foreshadowing was cool!if you haven’t picked up a book by olivie blake already you definitely should.also before you read this one please do check the trigger warnings as there are a few discussions in the book that could be quite triggering, please look after your mental health❤️🩹

good book
It’s a beautifully written book, the author takes a lot of time to bring back ideas from the beginning of the book and to repeat and tie it in at the end. The characters are written very well, the tension yet calm they bring about is great. The only quarry I have is just personal opinion, I didn’t love the ending- for some reason it felt quite rushed to me. Although the ending did make sense to me I couldn’t help but feel slightly underwhelmed since the rest of the book up till that point had been utterly amazing. Other than that I do highly recommend this book, I’m sure others very much like the ending or you will if you buy it. The packaging was good although the cover (hardback) did come slightly dented- might have just been from delivery though.

Dazzling
"There was nothing worse than being predictable. Nothing smaller than feeling ordinary. Nothing more disappointing than being reminded she was both."Two people find each other, but this is not a conventional love story. He is a doctoral student who manages his destructive thoughts with compulsive calculations about time travel; she is a bipolar counterfeit artist undergoing court-ordered psychotherapy. Tender, biting, fascinating.

Loved the story, disappointed with the physical book!
Absolutely LOVED this book. I couldn’t put this down! The writing style was immaculate. It was poetic yet realistic. The dialogue was so sharp and the characters just seemed so real. I loved how the POV would change in a subtle way so that you always felt like you had the most intimate read on a character. It was truly brilliant. I loved every word! However… I am quite disappointed with the physical book itself. The writing on the front cover’s title and the back cover’s book description is blurry and seems to be low quality. The design on the book’s spine seems to be misprinted… one side of the spine is empty and the other side bleeds onto the cover.Despite that, the story was great and I’m still happy to have a physical copy of it. I just wish the printing & binding of the book was a bit better quality!

Hard to put a finger on it, but it changed me
It’s a great love story, I could not put it down. It’s different, sometimes difficult to follow but in a good way. It reminded me to live more

A Beautiful Slow-burn Love Story About Loving Even When You're 'Broken'
Alone With You In The Ether has captivated me in a way that no romance novel has before. It is beautiful, literary, philosophical, magical without being fantastical, romantic, and intimate. It feels like baring a part of your soul to another, it conveys the intimacy that comes with a conversation with someone who doesn’t simply listen to what you’re saying because listening is the easy part. It conveys the feeling of the intimacy that comes with someone who engages with what you’re saying no matter how little they understand what you’re talking about simply because they find it- you interesting. It conveys the feeling of letting someone into your space, and allow them to get to know you- not the façade you might put up, but the real and the messy, even if it’s done inadvertently because they see you, see through you.Alone With You In The Ether is one of the best romances I’ve read in a long time and I will continue to think about it for a long time. It’s a truly underrated book that I want to recommend to everyone I know. It’s a book that made me think deeply about love, life, time, and art. It’s a literary romance in the best sense of the word and because it is a romance novel, there is a happy ending, or as happy as it could be given the personalities of the characters. But it is a happy ending.I really do highly recommend this book. It’s a lovingly told love story with two flawed, but deeply fascinating characters at its center and a message that just because you have issues doesn’t mean you can’t love or you don’t deserve love. It’s literary, philosophical, intellectual, and romantic. No other book has left such an impact on me. No other book made me reread after I finished it. It quickly became my favorite book and it surprised me in such a good way that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully articulate.
