Best pump I have ever used
Bought this in 2015 December its now May 2020 and hasn't missed a beat, it has been running all this time 24/7 apart from power cuts due to unfortunately being on a prepaid electric meter 10 stars not 5 would be disappointed if I couldn't buy exactly the same unit when it does eventually need to be replaced and its running in sump on a reef aquarium on minimum power level super satisfied

Working well
I have a 16000 litre pond with Koi. Up to now I have used two AC pumps , one for summer, the other lower output for when winterised. The summer pump impeller bearing housing broke and without no replacement kit available, I bought this DC pump as a replacement for both AC pumps (winter one was on its way out) scaling down the output for winter. At 85 watts at full output, it is about 25 watts lower than the summer pump and given its a 24/7 pump, I'm hoping to see a reduction reasonable drop in electric consumption. A week or so in and it continues to perform well. My only concern was that nowhere in the blurb was there a reference to the pump being able to deal with solids. Good AC pond pumps generally manage solids up to 8mm. The impeller is smaller than the pump it replaced, so time will tell but if raised it from the bottom a little to mitigate. Pump itself looks to be reasonable build quality. Controller unit is a little cheap, but ok. As its DC it has a nice soft start function and the output is impressive. The acid test will be to see how it performs in all seasons and whether it's got the longevity of the AC pumps.
