God of War: Collector's Edition Guide

I understand it’s nearly impossible to get this book anywhere, and I also understand that they don’t make these anymore; but the price is ridiculous lol! £149?! Holy hell mate! I bought it when it first came out and I just wanted to see if the price had gone up for a second copy and bloody hell!!! No way am I picking up a second copy lol! No doubt they are just going to become more and more expensive with time.Edit: FANTASTIC guide, premium feel to pages, and care of content.

It arrived on time however the packaging was completely destroyed. The book itself had no damage to it. I gave it 5 stars because I feel like the issue with a packaging was from how USPS handled it. The book itself is gorgeous, it also comes with a free digital version of it which is pretty handy. I see people on here complaining about the quality of the controller skin but I applied 3/4 of it to my own controller and if used it for 20-plus hours now with it on there and have no issues with peeling or fading. On top of looking really good the content is also on point. If you're a fan of the game it's definitely worth the purchase

I would have rated it a 5 star with ease but it seems someone dropped it on the edges that made it bent which knock one star. That ticked me off considering how wonderful the texture feels. But you buy this for the content which made me knock another star, and here's why.No index. Vague information. You're better off watching YouTube for any walkthrough. The book comes also with a code for a digital guide, and I still found myself going back to YouTube. GOW has a lot of pictures of in game but no real useful detail. You get the gist of it, the maps are helpful but there's something about this book that feels incomplete.Now Horizon Zero Dawn collectors guide? That's a damn book. 600+ pages of incredible detail on everythinggggg it's like the Bible of the game and it should be. You picked it up and all the info it gives you blows you away, I'm still left guessing with the GOW book. Even with its main flaw I see myself keeping it. Probably to never open again tho.

Love this book and the game is even better.I bought this because fore certain games thhese guides are like a glorious gaming manual with everything you need to know.I only bought 4 of them & they are for special games.I mean you can find all these thi9ngs online but its nice to have this to read when you are busy in certain places etc. or while playing and you want to get 100%.If you are like me & like to buy these for the sapecial once in a decade type game like this & Red Dead redemption then GET THIS!!

Only complaint about book is no index. Controller skin is of good quality. 8hrs of use, will see how long the stickers on the buttons last.*wipe down controller beforehand to get extra hand grease off. Also application of sticker is annoying but worth it when everything aligns correctly.**Update** Stickers on the buttons are still on and show no sign of coming off. AWESOME!! Its been 2months now***DEC Update*** With med to heavy use weekly the skin still looks like new! In love!! The book is also still very nice with this type of cover used - grippy, smooth, velvet.

I love the GoW series but the new entry has added massive layers of complexity. You can play without engaging with them directly; but I broke down and purchased this in the hopes of adding a dimension to my gameplay and enjoyment thereof. I have not been disappointed. It's pretty exhaustive. You could easily spend a couple hours reading before you even pick up a controller; but if you just read the paragraphs and skim the tables you'll still be well-positioned for a nice gameplay experience.

Content: I used this guide to play through the entire game and it was very helpful, informative and made it easy to locate what I needed. The information is laid out in a systematic and standardized manner. The advice that is given regarding how to approach playing such a massive game was spot on.As for the quality of the book (materials, printing, etc.) Great paper quality and printing process, while some of the images are a bit small to be helpful. The cover is beautifully designed and the book binding is tight and firm.

First off, this game does not need a strategy guide. While it has great puzzles that can take time to figure out, I highly recommend playing without one.Now I know what you're saying, why in the FK would you buy a guide then? Well, it does list great places to farm, as well as detailed map information. Despite that, the real reason is, it's simply a great collectors piece. It's filled with beautiful artwork, and is of great quality. As someone who tries to collect as many guides to my favorite games as possible, I'm very happy.

So, this book is 110% what you'd expect and more, and oh my, it's worth a buy and a read even if you're not keen on God of War.Firstly, from the first page to the last page you're given a sense of quality, a sense that some brilliant minds went into this. Both the front and back have every single signature of the wonderful team behind the game, and if I say so myself, they created one of the most fluid and dynamic games of this current generation.Anyway, onto the book. It's amazing. Every little detail, every single secret, tricks, trivia, everything is laid out neatly and easily to read. The controller cover was a nice touch as well, was very easy to apply and goes great with either a black or white controller.All in all, extremely satisfied with this book. If you've bought it, then obviously for the reason you're buying it, you won't be disappointed in the slightest. If you're buying it just for a read, you still won't be disappointed!Cheers!

If you are getting GOW & want to get all in the game, looking for strategies & all then this one is definitely be considered for your choice ! I like physical books since it is hard copy and I have something for reference that can be there without internet is cool. Although yes, some info does changes since game gets updates and all. So do keep that in mind but the book is solid !!

Having had the book for several weeks now and having turned to it for help on multiple occasions I can say without a doubt this book is everything you want and expect from a strategy guide. Its been extremely useful in navigating some of the more difficult portions of the game, an example of this wold be it's list of where to find every Eye of Odin. It has a nice weight and feel to it, and the controller skin really adds some life to your average ps4 controller.

It's alright, it does the job 👍
