While this will probably come in handy at some point down the road in it's intended purpose, I have been delighted to be able to shop at stores, garage sales, thrifts shops, flea markets, etc. for induction-ready cookware.I just put it on my wrist and don't need to fish a fridge magnet out of my pocket or purse, and can even be discrete about testing for magnetic properties when someone assures me that certain products are induction-ready. It's amazing how often that claim is not borne out. PLUS, if I'm comparing two similar items (e.g. sauce pans), invariably one will have a stronger magnetism than the other, which means it will work better on my induction cooking hob. Such a simple thing to trigger a little mental-happy-dance! ;)
