Does a decent job for hobby shooting.
Setup with a NCStar red dot (setup w/cowitness). With the magnifier flipped down, the cowitness is gone and actually darkens the overall sight picture. IIRC, I was able to adjust the red dot to center of magnifier via magnifier... which is great! The parallax on this is terrible and the eye relief miserable... the Eotech magnifiers I have used are better for both, but not hundreds of dollars better, IMHO. If you are buying EOTech, you are buying for a number of reasons... most of which there isn't a dollar figure you can attribute. For hobby shooting, this does the job... but you'll need some patience.

Could not get it aligned with scope
I had high hopes for this variable zoom magnifier. Sadly it quickly became clear upon receiving it that it wasn't going to work with the Barska Electo scope that I planned on using it with. I could not for the life of me get it to line up with the scope. I ended up ditching the red dot/magnifier combo and getting a Trijicon ACOG. If you're going to go this route, don't cheap out.

UTAC 1.5 to 5x magnifier
Received quickly within 3 days.Better than expected optics quality.Adjustable magnification works great when switching from 75 yard to 100 yard targets.My only complaint is mount was slightly off center and took some adjustment to get centered. Overall a fine product.

Great for the price.
I mounted this on my Steyr AUG with my Aimpoint Patrol Rifle Optic (red dot) on a flip-to-side mount and its a great addition to my rifle. The optics are not amazing though - it will not replace a real scope. There are some parallax problems that require you to adjust your eye relief when changing magnifications, and the light collection is fairly bad. That being said, I can hit soda cans at 100 yards with a red dot sight, so for the price I am very happy with this!

Okay, spend the money and get a good one.
Eye relief is bad. Hard to see unless you are in the just the right spot. I use it now just to look at deer in my back woods by itself. Useless for the most part on my gun.
