Check the direction of the tightrning knob of the boom arm.
The direction of the tightening knob of the boon arm was located on the left instead of the right of the C stand when I set it up. So if I was to "right tighten" the knob, the strobe was facing the wrong end, i.e, the direction the sand bag hook should be and vice versa. When you do your set up, make sure the tightening knob is on the right side of the C stand vertical support instead of being on the left and facing backward as it was my case. This would have been a set up for failure of the system. The demonstration video they have. has it in the correct position I.e, on the right side of the C stand vertical support. The actual boom arm they sent to me had it reversed. I had to send it back and go for another brand's boom arm.

Excellent Quality but Poor Packaging
The extension works extremely well, although; the packaging lacks in protection. The metal is to heavy for just one layer of cardboard packaging. Upon arrival the metal was coming out of the back. There is in wrapping, extra box inside a box, just a single thin card board box.The unit does work extremely well and has no trouble extending & locking. I did need to use a sandbag at the end to balance the light. Overall, a great extender that needs better packaging.

Heavy Duty
This is heavy duty and it comes with empty weight bags for stability. I use water bottles in the bags for stability. The arm is super beefy and built like a tank so I know it will last.

Def not a kupo!
Ok i bought this assuming it would be atleast the quality of a kupo, newer, or something mainstream, but was a little disappointed when i saw the quality of this item. Im sure its going to work, but the steel tubes feel too light. The hardware attachments just feel unfinished and cheap materials.Lets hope it stays together well.
