They work.
You have to warm it up for a bit and then pour the heat on to melt the solder. Still less work that soldering and then shrinking a tube after. The insulator is much thicker than regular heat shrink tube as well.

Some good some bad
The heat shrink solder connectors appear to work, no issues there but the regular crimp on but splices are buyer beware! Especially the bigger one (yellow and blue) the metal inside of connector is extremely thin. Certainly they would not properly crimp on to the wire or carry the load they should be rated for.

Works just as described
I like these. I use them on a boat and in wet environments where the connections need to be sealed. I use a heat gun to melt the solder and shrink the plastic and that works very well. I set the gun on 500 degrees and it takes 15-20 seconds on so to melt the solder. A friend of mine used a butane mini torch but that is too hard to control the heat input. The heat gun does the job right without burning the plastic.

Would definitely recommend!!
Worked great, just make sure you let them cool before you tug on them to make sure they’re tight. My buddy had helped me hook up some lights. He was used to the old fashioned crimp right connectors, he wound up pulling one or two apart before the soldier had time to set.

Great sealed connection
Works well. This is my first time using a solder connector vs a crimp style. Takes a little more heat to get the solder to flow but makes a great sealed connection afterwords. Takes a few seconds to cool to let the solder set before you pull on wire to test connection.

Five Stars
The media could not be loaded. Anything that makes connecting wires together easily is a big plus in my book. Sometimes soldering wires together is quite difficult. These connectors make it easy to solder and apply heat shrink at the same time. Perfect professional result!

Easy to use
Easy to use. Have had no problems with breakage or moisture.

Try out a few to get as n idea of how much heat to use
Love these connections, use them for all my wiring on auto projects
