Love the flashlight so far. Nice range on it and pretty heavy duty. Everyone I show is impressed when they see it. I use it for work and it has helped me get the job done. Have only used it once but look forward to using it more and having it also makes me feel a little more safe than before.

Right out of the box - It is indeed bright.I purchased the SAMLITE - CREE LED Bat Flashlight light and a smaller LED light ( BlueFire 1200 Lumen Top XML-L2 LED Flashlight )We have a good sized lot with very tall along the property line. In the wide mode, this light easily lights up a large area of the back yard, all the way to the trees and beyond.Makes it easy to find the dogs when they go out at night.I am amazed that this light can zoom in to the tops of the spruce trees. You can literally see the branches and needles as easily as you can in the daylight. The zoom light shines well beyond the property line, far into the field behind us. We get frequent "visitors" from the field/woods around us. Now we can see what the dogs are barking at... Nothing bad to say - I hope it continues to work for a long time to come.

I purchased this a gift for my husband, for Christmas (he is very hard to shop for). We both love it! It can be operated with regular batteries OR a rechargeable (included). Also included is the adapter for recharging. We specifically like the SIZE, as it can be used for protection (think small bat), if needed. It's very bright. It is my plan to order a second one.

Big hit with the boys who got these for Christmas! I was skeptical because of the undo twist to full size. However, this is proving to be very strong and sturdy and the light is bright too! Put it on Strobe & you can disorient anyone you may be coming your way (of course in a threatening manner). Perfect for a night walk in a dark area, taking the dog out at night or any night time use!

I was searching for an extremely bright flashlight for night walking with good handy grip, till i found this SAMLITE LED FLASHLIGHT, couldn't do any better choice than getting this one its literary all-in-one. Extra bright, pleasure to use! Much smaller as expected, great size! Worth to buy!

I am actually reviewing the Samlite company as well as one of their flashlight products.I ordered, but did not receive the product pictured here. I think the Amazon fulfillment center sent me the wrong flashlight. Amazon does a great job and I buy a lot of stuff but things happen sometimes. Anyway, I was sent the Radiant 800 instead of this one and then I couldn't get it to work. Turns out to be a little problem with the charging unit.I discovered that and the solution myself.Between the charging issue and then me putting the battery in wrong I was frustrated with the flashlight.Here's the really good part. The Samlite people make a big deal on the product pages for their stuff and on a card included with the flashlight about guaranteeing 100% satisfaction. I emailed them and challenged them to show me some good customer service. They got back to me within a day and suggested I had the battery in wrong. Yep, I did.They also offered to send me this bat flashlight if I wanted. That was a nice offer but the Radiant 800 is a better flashlight and, once I fixed my wrong way battery, is an incredibly bright light.The 800 is not only bright but feels really well made.Nice heavy feel with the aluminum body, great looking and a very usable length. A belt holster is included and it is also made of strong material that looks like it will last a long time.The only issue at this point is that the battery pops up a bit at the positive end when in the charger. It won't charge that way. I used a strip of velcro around the charger with the battery in and it works great. A bit of a design flaw on the charger but using velcro or a good rubber band is an easy fix. Still, I would rate the charger as the only low point.I am a big fan of customer service and support companies that provide it. The Samlite folks get an A+ for customer service and I will buy from them again.

Awesome deal for this flashlight. It is extremely bright and easy to use. It is built very well, and yes it is blinding I tested it.. has three settings low, high, and strobe. Option to use three triple a batteries as well as the rechargeable lithium ion battery provided. Lithium battery comes with a charger. I would buy from this company again. Product is built well and for the price it's a steal.

I bought this as a flash light for my truck and a beat stick when I go hiking. I charged the battery following the directions given and not even a week later I needed to use it and the battery was dead. Unimpressed there. It compresses enough to fit into my large coat pocket but it is not as compact as a collapsing baton would be or as long when the baton is extended (I have both). I didn't like the key chain feature either as it was just in the way and it serves no purpose I could think of. All in all, when the light works it is nice and bright but the rechargeable battery doesn't seem up to the job. Fortunately they include the 3 AA battery option which may work better. As for a self defense tool it still seems some what short but it feels sturdy enough that I think it would be effective. All in all I think I would prefer my baton and a small flash light over this flashlight bat.
