Good light at a good price
Install is relatively simple & straightforward. Sensitivity to light is not near accurate enough. Mine is installed under s carport with a LOT of ambient light but the light continues to come on & off all day whenever it senses motion, despite the Lux setting being properly adjusted. Despite other reviews, I wouldn’t call it extremely bright, at all. It produces enough light to see by, but that’s about it. It’s a decent product, with these factors in mind.UPDATE: after several days of good, solid sun shine to thoroughly charge the battery, I’ll have to amend my review. The brightness is actually very good!

Inside my Shed
I use this to light my shed, the panel is outside and charges it...super bright and having the motion as you walk into the shed at night is great. Not the intended use, but a great way to light an area without electricity

Good light for the money
This is a good light for the money. I don’t expect it to last forever for $28., and you should not either. Probably 2 years at best. I have a couple of suggestions for buyers.1: The mounting bracket has to be removed from the light to be mounted, then the light mounted to the bracket after. As others have said here, the nuts that hold the bracket and light together are tiny! If you try to put these two parts back together with these tiny black nuts while up on a ladder, you will likely drop the nuts and never see them again. So, take the bracket off on your workbench, and attach a piece of wood or metal to it, so the whole tamale can be mounted without taking the light/bracket apart on the ladder. I’m mounting my light on a tree, so I screwed the loose bracket to a 2x6 wood block, then put the whole thing together on my bench. Now I can just screw the block to the tree and be done with it.2: The light has three controls for setting it up. Light (lux),motion sensitivity, and, time light stays on after its activated. Do yourself a favor and test/set these for a couple days (nights) on ground level, so you don’t have to go up and down the ladder at night. I took off one star for the mount design flaw, which would have been an easy fix for the maker.

Does not handle the elements very well and rots with sun exposure.
Using them to illuminate my backyard if someone or thing enters it. The main problem has been the units rot due to sun exposure especially the white plastic over the sensor head. It becomes very brittle and will shatter if even touched. I cannot afford to purchase if they begin to disintegrate within the first year or two. Probably will have to replace them with metal units and ones with extendedwarranties. Either that or hardwire in metal 120 VAC units. Bought this recent one to replace a two year old one that was completely rotten, cracking and falling apart. I cannot invest more money in these types of units and do not recommend you do so either.

Great Leds, if you can keep them working.
I purchased 2 of these. Charged for 2 days, then installed both of them.1, is working great, the other one quit working next day. Will return if I cannot get hold of seller to replace defective one.I have used similar ones at my old home, they have preformed very well. Will update this, once my non working one is resolved.Have not replaced defective one yet, wish I had got 3 more of these, but was not offered a replacement for defective one.I Purchased 4 of the 90 Led Motion Sensors with auto controls, they have no 3 control settings, I found 2 out of 4 stay lighted on low beem. Not happy with this, want to return them, don't know if I can.Stick with the 3 control sensor Led ones, they work well, if they arrive working or do not quite.Seems like quality control is getting to be a issue, have ordered over a dozen of various types, at least 6 were defective.

Costech 90 LED Solar Light
Piece of junk. Worked great for 3 months and this weekend stopped working. Climbed up the ladder to find the light full of water. See the picture I attached. I will not buy another one of these. Will try sending the manufacturer a note but I'm not holding my breath. I'll update this post if I hear anything.

Charge the light before making night and day adjustments.
At first I could not get it to turn off. After charging for 3 days and then adjusting LUX and Sensitivity in AUTO mode in a dark garage and outside, the sensor light worked as advertised. Mounting the light was difficult since I was on a 20 foot ladder. After an afternoon rain there was water in the light and the solar panel. I do not know if the water will degrade the light.

What a waste of my time.
I installed the solar panel outside and drilled a hole through an 8 inch concrete wall. Then through a 4 inch sheet rocked wall. After messing around with the ridiculous nut which needs to be removed to screw the bracket up, i finally got the light installed. Amazing., IT FAILED TO WORK. The light would work until i plugged in the cord that goes to the outside solar panel.I have installed as many as 20 Solar lights over many years and there is NO DOUBT in my mind, That the company that makes these never checked this light out to be sure it worked at the factory. So i wasted several hours of my time, ONLY to have to take it back down and return it to amazon. I would NEVER recommend anyone buying this product. I believe the reviews that others wrote tell the whole story.

Works well as light on INSIDE of my shed
I used this light a little different than was intended. I needed a light inside my shed when I open the door. So I mounted the solar panel on the outside and ran the wire wire to the light which I mounted above the door so when I swing it open, boom, the light comes on for an amount of time that works for me. Then I don't have to worry about turning it off.It works very well and provides a generous amount of light for me to get things out after dark. There were a few things that made me give it a 4 rather than 5 stars:1. Mounting the light was difficult. The screws are very thin and trying to work around the bracket which has very little clearance to the light made that one of the most time consuming parts of the install. In my case, snaking the wire from the panel took time too but that won't apply to everyone. This part will. I found drilling some pilot holes into the stud you are going to mount it in helped then using a long Philips screwdriver.2. When I tested it out, like the listing says, the light will stay on when the panel is disconnected. I realized later that this is because the sensor for the light level (the one that determines the LUX value on the setting knob) is determined by the panel itself rather than the PIR sensor. If you leave it open, it figures it is dark all the time. This was interesting for my application since it would always be darker on the inside of the shed so I had to wait until it was dusk to properly set the activation light level. This just means for me that it won't come on in the daytime. This isn't the end of the world but still affects when the light comes on in this application. Something to know if you plan to do the same thing.3. It was tricky to tighten up the screws for the mounting bracket so it didn't fall over on its own weight. I had to pinch the nut with some small pliers and turn the tightening brackets. What I did like:1. The light level is good.2. There are some holes on the base of the solar panel so if you don't want to put 4 screw holes in whatever surface you are mounting it to, you can use zip ties and make fewer holes. In my case, I mounted it on the side trim so I was able to get behind it and drill 1 hole and tuck it behind.3. I have good control over how long the light comes on.4. Aside from a few hiccups in the install, it was pretty straightforward.Overall, I am happy to now have light whenever I go into my shed.I suspect if I got 2 or more lights, I could get an adapter and charge them from the same panel.

WOW SUSLPER FAST SHIPPING, A FULL WEEK SOONER THAN EXPECTED
SUPER FAST SHIPPING!!!! I wasn't expecting it untill next week.I bought 3 lights, they are smaller than I expected.I got it at the end of the day yesterday. Got a couple hours of charge on a cloudy day. So far from what I can see it will work out well for me.I will not be installing untill I can confirm they will provide sufficientPART 2 REVIEW UPDATETested. CONFIRMED SUPPER BRIGHT!!!INSTALLING- HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS! Design not well thought out. The light is in the way of the mounting bracket. The only way I was able to mount, was to unscrew the light from the mounting bracket. Then mount the bracket is a wiz.But with a tiny nut in a super awkward spot no room for your fingers. Lost one nut trying to screw back together. Took the nut off of 2nd light I bought. Used needle nose pliers clamp tight the nut. It was super awkward, but managed to get it put back on.What they should have done was welded the nut to the bracket. **problem solved**With my other 2 lights, I am going to look for a type of metal glue, glue the nut in place. Hopefully it works. With the 1 of 3 lights I installed, if the placement doesn't work, I'll have to reverse the process and again huge pain in the ass. Hope I dont have to do that.Over all, Would I recommend buying these lights? A so frickin lutely!!! Just be prepared for timely install! I believe it's worth it though! Good quality light for the cost!!!!

Awkward but bright
Nice and bright but a pain mounting the light assembly. The metal bracket must be removed the fasten to to the wall and then the fun begins holding the tiny screw tucked in behind the housing. I wound up taping the screw to the housing. Also a nuisance getting the motion and light sensor tuned in.Also note there is no horizontal adjustment for the light housing. Only vertical.Near impossible to read the raised print on the sensor dials. A sticker would be handy.

These work great, but I did have a similar one fail
I bought two of these last year for my garden shed and wood shed. They come with a good length of wire from the solar panel, so it is easy to get the panel in a optimal spot to catch the sun. They have a bright light and come on reliably when I come into the sheds. The only caveat I have is, one of the ones I bought previously, failed. I checked the solar panel and it was working fine, so I checked the re-chargeable battery pack and 3 of the cells had failed. So, one of the sets I just bought was used to replace the battery pack in the old one (just as cheap as buying the part and now have other spare parts). I'm going to put the other new on one the house by the side gate. Will have to see how well it stands up fully outdoors. The others only have the solar panels outside. So far I can recommend these, but will have to see if the battery failure was an anomaly.

motion not working right
This just is not working as expected. It has a setting ON for turning on at dusk, and this works as excepted, and the setting AUTO for motion detection isn't working at all and it is just on all the time. If you use ON it comes on at night, but AUTO it comes on and stays on all day. The settings have no affect on the light in AUTO mode, something is broken.I like that it has a remote mountable panel, but the light does not function as advertised. The instructions are awful as well.It is reasonably bright, but it is hard to install because the bracket design is not appropriate for this application. It can be done, but it is annoying when it should be much simpler.Bottom line, don't buy this one there are others.
