Mine didn't smell of fish or glue. Great quality for the extremely low price (do bear in mind that only 20 petals in a haberdashery will set you back €5/£3.50). If you separate them fully they appear more transparent than if you don't, so if separating fully either buy more to keep an opaque look or scatter onto same coloured table.I bought 3 packs of these, so 3,000 petals and between me and my groomal party separated all of them in about 4 hours. Put the kettle on and watch tv while doing it and you won't find the time going. Delivery time came alot sooner than I thought it would. All in all I'm delighted with it and would purchase this again.

My girlfriend bought two bags of these to scatter on the tables at our wedding. I am very surprised at how realistic they are! From a foot away you would never know they are fake, such good value considering what it would cost with real flowers.

These petals smelled of fish; I kid you not. Bought for a wedding reception and had to separate thousands of them out and spray with perfume. They look nice.

Brilliant petals.. yes they do smell slightly fishy when you first open the packs but if you’ve read the reviews then you know to expect that. I simply did what others suggested and put them in a big box to air them. Didn’t need to spray them with anything but you can do. Smell of nothing now. You do need to separate each individual petal.. but my mum and I did 4000 of this in a hour or two and found it very therapeutic.I knocked one star off because there was some petals that weren’t perfect with stitching or marks but I’m really happy with them.Really can’t complain for the price.

The pedals I lovely came very fast the only problem I had was they smelled really bad of fish or something like that that was a horrible smell and some of the petals herb bread or blue slight colour on them when I ordered white it was only one or two petals but that's not the point I had to put Febreze spray onto them so they smell nice now for my wedding

Got for daughter's wedding . Delivered when they said they would be. Lovely 'silk' petals. Couldn't use them for the actual wedding as we weren't allowed to chuck them about, so they have migrated into my craft stash for repurposing later.

These took an age to arrive, and did have a slight smell which has now completely gone. As long as you've read the reviews and are prepared for both these things then you won't be disappointed. So many petals! These will be great scattered on the floor at my wedding - probably not so good for table decorations as close up they don't look so great. I hope this helps.

Absolutely stank of fish, ends were all frayed and took ages to seperate. Cost peanuts really so should complain. However the smell was horrendous. I was dubious to buy these in the first place. Hoping the smell does go soon.
