i know Alpen produce very good drills so thought i would try one of these
this was a bit of an extravagance to buy this as it was more expensive than the usual countersink bits i use. i know Alpen produce very good drills so thought i would try one of these. what a difference. even in very hard timbers it cut fast and clean. i can't see myself going back to the "normal" type of counter sink again. wonderful piece of kit worth every penny

Bought this to widen some existing countersink holes in stainless ...
Bought this to widen some existing countersink holes in stainless having blunted some standard HHS bits doing the same job. This worked to start with but the stainless quickly left a notch in the cutting edge so is now blunt too. Used in a pillar drill at lowest speed with cutting paste.

Nice and sharp
Sorry but I've not used this countersink to much yet , but I can say that I've been a bench joiner / cabinet maker for over 20 years and all I can say is that on first impressions using it on solid Oak it all looks good to me !!

Worth the money
I use this to clean 4mm holes in soft metal and it works beautifully to leave smooth clean appearance.

Great value!
Mainly used on aluminium used and abused daily and after a years usage its just now going slightly blunt! Definitely buying another one!
