simple replacement unit for failed Hella unit
Just installed this in my E39 Dinan 5. Replacing the Hella that was previously installed. Will update after some use. The igniter unit was a tad small for the existing stock bracket, I simply placed a piece of 1/8 thick rubber under the unit. The cable is longer than stock with the connector but that just requires a tie-wrap.So far so good.

Works great
My headlight works again after installation, but sometimes the indicator still illuminates on my dashboard stating I have a headlight out and goes away if I turn them off then back on.. not 100% sure if it’s related to the product or not but I would definitely recommend these to a friend.

Was a good drop in replacement
Was a good drop in replacement. It even included a mounting bracket in case of any difficulty with the existing bracket in my 2003 BMW 530i.Earlier I got a replacement from a different vendor and the connector (black) was too shallow to make contact with the bulb.The originally,w connector is red.

Installed in a 2001 bmw 530i
I didn’t need to switch out the mounting bracket. It fits perfect with the OEM mounting. My old ballast was going out but it seems as it’s just dirty from the contact points. The new works fine, will update later on durability.

Works like a charm! Fits the oem headlight just fine! I was having issues with my left ballast(like all e39s ever after a while) and now i got reliable headlights year round!

Good to begin with but dead in 8 months
The product shipped right away and arrived quickly. It fit my 2002 BMW M5 E39 perfectly. I didn't even have to change out the existing brackets. Everything worked perfectly. Until this week. At just past the 8 month mark one of the units began to fail. It worked intermittently for about a week, then died completely. Not the bulb (swapped with working unit), not electrical (swapped the units). Nope, the ballast itself died. I've contacted the seller.
