Does not fit into my shower wall fixtures
I connected this filter to the wall shower fitting and felt it was loose. So I put in extra teflon tape and tightened it and then attached a hand-held shower to the filter. After four days, the hand-held shower along with the filter came crashing down when my daughter started taking a shower. I realized that even the extra teflon taping had not helped. This product is defective and does not fit existing shower wall fixtures.

Easy installation
At first I was confused because the water coming out was black, but then I realized that I have to let some water run through it first. Just like those brita water filters. It turned out pretty good. Not sure if it is only me, but the water smells a bit cleaner.

Filters water OK
The filter did work to some degree. Certainly did not soften the water like a whole house water softener would. I did notice far less water spots on shower glass door so that is how I know it is working. Still water spots but not nearly as much as not having it installed. Easy install. Priced was good for what you get out of it.

What would substances the filter would remove and when to change it.
Excellent value. Does what's described under specifications. Very easy to install. I used it for a shower. I have not tried changing the cartridge yet or testing the water before and after filtering. Thanks for a great product.

It's an okay shower filter for the price!
It's an okay shower filter for the price. It does the job! Nobody should expect too much from this shower filter since it is 11 bucks, but it is a great price. Hopefully it stays that price!

chlorine smell is gone
if i would have known years ago I would have bought this item. it is inexpensive and removed the chlorine smell. in just a short time I have noticed my skin is not as dry.
