Published in 1974. Possibly the best blokes' story I've ever read. Fiction mixed with true history. Nicole's first and best of his I've read so far. I'm not giving mine up and bought another for my son for Christmas.

Having recently discovered Christopher Nicole's work I am sold on his style and cannot put the books down The history appears to be very accurately researched and this coupled with the superb action and steamy sex makes for an excellent read ...I will be very sad when I have read them all!
