ZEUS Mustache Styling Wax, Mega Hold Water Based Moustache Wax for Men (3 PACK)

This stuff is like nothing I've ever tried. Its changed my handlebar stach life forever. Thank you Zeus.First thing to note is the fact that it unique physical properties. It comes out of the tube more like a thick pomade, it smear between the fingers like a pomade, but right away starts to dry like a wax. Friction will keep it moving, styling wise its amazingly pliant but firm. Within 10-20 minutes its rock hard and will hold all day and then some. Its really the best of both worlds. It dries and hold like FIRM HOLD gel or Pomade but doesnt get all gloopy and shiney like a gel or pomade would. A little goes a long way. A bunch will let you make a lightning bolt if you want. The only thing I will say is that after an hour, its set rock hard and no amount of friction or fiddling will make it re-tack like a true wax would. But if you get it right first you wont need to re-fiddle later like you would with a wax on a hot day as it relaxes.The last thing I'll say is the smell, it is perfumed. I like it, other will not. It has a typical pomade like aroma, floralish with a hint of musk. Masculine for sure but its right under your nose so you better find it plesant.

This is a good product for a very specific use, i.e., styling a handlebar moustache, however, it must also be used in a specific way for best results. As others have noted, it is not a wax but a viscous, clear gel that dries quickly to a hard (spiky), matte finish. It flakes off relatively easily with any further preening during the day, so it is important to set your moustache the way you want to wear it and then LEAVE IT ALONE -that is the #1 rule. If you are experiencing excessive flaking, you have used too much. Another reason you will not want to use too much is that it has a fairly strong and unpleasant chemical smell. Your best bet is not to use this under your nose at all, but ONLY on the ends of your moustache to attain the desired curl. Used in this way, this is a very effective and easy-to-use product. It compares favorably to "Brother's Love" insofar as its price, availability, and possibly even scent are concerned (both products are made in Germany and come in the same tube), but whereas ZEUS dries hard and cannot be reformed without flaking off, "Brother's Love" has a slightly putty-like consistency when dry that can be restyled on the go. I've found both products infinitely easier to use than traditional waxes.

I began rocking a handlebar 'stache several years ago. I tried several waxes that needed harsh soap to wash out, but I didn't like all that fuss. I started looking for a water-soluble wax with no odor, a strong hold, no color (my 'stache and beard are white now), and no flaking. Zeus brand met all of these criteria. I don't have to use any soap to wash it out, it doesn't have any scent to clash with my other grooming products, but it has great staying power. It was exactly what I was looking for!

Just when I thought there couldn't be a wax stronger than Death Grip, I tried this and was amazed at its epoxy-like strength. It doesn't seem at all like a wax. It's more like a water-based glue. It worked well...at first. Then I realized that whatever it is that makes this product strong and easy to apply dries out and becomes a flaky mess. My initial excitement was unwarranted.Despite the overly strong smell and the high price, this could have been my product of choice if it wasn't for the way it dries into a flaky mess that is easily seen...yuck.

First I have an Asian mustache that sticks straight out even with months of growth. It needs some sort of taming with product to get it to lay down. This is more like a gel with a light hold. Some flaking that I can see but not terrible. Still better than other light-colored waxes I've tried. Expensive for the amount of product you get and this is water-based so you'll have to reapply if you get any liquid on it from drinking. The smell is clean but heady. I'll have to try wearing it for a day or two to see if I get used to it.

It does smell bad for a second. I'm a man, I can handle it. But it holds like a MF. I thought death grip was good. Not like this one. Goes on like water but wait till it dry. 10☆. That's what I need. I hate it when my mustache goes up my nose. Feels like a booger. That really bothers me. Not anymore.

This is probably the best water-based glue/wax out there. The texture is very sticky, it dries very fast and you can work nice points with the tiniest amount of product.The size is very small, but you really shouldn't use a lot of the product each time, I can see this tube lasting a long time even for the small size. Easy to carry everywhere.If you put too much, it will be crusty, just like hair gel. But working a tiny amount in the stash works great and is transparent. You can even reactivate during the day with a little bit of water on the fingers.Strong hold that needs to be worked during the day.

Interesting texture. Not as strong as I would have believed. The smell is something particular. Not sure if I like or or not, but I have trouble believing it's a natural smell...

This thing smells terrible, it's like putting glue on your beard. It's also worth mentioning it's about the size of a tube of chapstick. WAY too expensive for what you get, terrible value.
