The Alpnach Mechanical is sharply engineered and directly inspired by the twin-rotor Cougar AS 532, borrowing key elements from the aircrafts rotary blades, cyclic stick, turbines and cockpit. The mechanical movement which offers a date display at the 3 o clock location as well as hours, minutes and seconds function also comprises of sub dials that represent 12 hours, 30 minutes and 60 seconds which can be seen at the 6, 9 and 12 o clock hour marks. The dial of this 100 metre water resistant Victorinox watch consists of an interplay of grey and silver hues which mark out darkened centres inside each sub dial with a surrounding lighter circular band. The day date function is dressed against a clear white background interacting beautifully with the brands signature red accents admired in the minuterie of the flange and the tip of the central seconds hand.
