I try to be accurate on product reviews because I find them very helpful myself. I never use a product review to vent, just to review.The finish on the case is the biggest objection I have. I scratched it just opening it. It is a shiny plastic covered with a film of matte black. The film almost feels like an anti slip surface but it scratches very easily, and by very easily I mean it will flake off just with a little rub and easily scratched with a thumbnail. It is just a little better than a scratch off lottery ticket. Under the matt finish there is a high gloss plastic so the contrasts them many scratches I have already using my Ipad in my recliner.Second Issue I have, the hinge has a cradle for the pad but you have to push it in. There is a rubber piece that is supposed to be used in conjunction but my pad will not slide in with the rubber piece and the pad is not completely secure without it.Third issue, the instructions for use need some serious attention. The bluetooth sync process is not explained very well. I eventually figured it out but no thanks to the instructions.The keyboard works flawlessly, the best I have seen and better than I had imagined. The size is perfect when it is closed. The speaker is a very nice touch and actually enhances the pad. The ability to charge the pad and keyboard simultaneously is a nice feature.Will I use it, yes. Would I re buy or recommend, no. I think in this price range the finish is inexcusable and the need for further improvements in the mounting of the pad are a problem.

Purchased November 30, 2013, and for the past month I have had loads of issues. At first I thought perhaps the keyboard needed charging, but that hasn't solved the issues. It's more and more clear that the number keys don't work reliably anymore--if I try to use them, I can't STOP using them until I turn off Bluetooth. (Let me try the numbers for you: 222222222222222222222222222222222222222222!) The lower Shift key has quit working, I just now discovered. I am sorely disappointed. I was always unsatisfied with the way the case fit the iPad--the iPad wants to slide out a little and I constantly shove it back in the gripper slots. In addition, finger marks are a problem. The case is quite dinged up, as well, though I'm a careful user--bits of metal showing. Overall, a waste of hope and $$. But it FELT like a good case and it has worked for 8 months! I like the laptop type of design and I don't have a replacement yet.

This is the best IPAD case ever especially when i can't find a decent case for my slightly older ipad 2 and a case that also comes with multiple tilt angels. I don't type much but when i do this keyboard is the best. Great keys if your a fast typer. I like to mainly be able freely tilt my ipad for comfort if i am laying down watching a movie or sitting up typing or playing a game. It holds my ipad securely and you can easily detach the ipad from the keyboard and still have your ipad protected. Lastly, is the speaker. It gives a decent boost to sound particularly since i am military and are hard of hearing, needless to say i can hear my ipad great now. This is definitly worth the price, more like a steal. I am surprised it doesn't cost more.

For a month I loved this keyboard.Finally my iPad became versatile as a laptop.Pros:having a keyboard there fixed and on when I need itReliable connection;Keys feel great to type onGreat clip: tilts the screen to exactly the angle I need.The clip holds the iPad firmly and strongly so I can walk around with it, both open or closed.I like the matte black finish;it feels sturdy enough to toss in a backpack.Makes it a nice little laptop.Cons:Won't Swivel to Portrait mode (not a problem for me, and it's not hard to detach the iPad if necessary)?Rubber sleeves on the holder may in time lose elasticity and stop gripping. Presumably a magnet (like Zagg's for the iPad air keyboad) would last longer.Extreme vulnerability to spills. Which is the reason I'm writing this review.I've accidentally spilled small amounts of water on computer keyboards before and in every prior case it's been OK; I curse, the moisture dries and before long everything works again. With the Zonkyo even a little water has proved fatal -- the iPad, tantalizingly, can detect the keyboard, but "pairing" is still "unsuccessful" after a week of perseverance. Yes it's my fault for spilling, but honestly I'm going to need something more resilient.Reluctantly I'm ordering a rival for 1/3 the price based on a positive review about spills.

I generally do not like to leave negative feed backs on product. I always tend to think that maybe a product just does not meet my requirements but it can meet someone else's.The keyboard on this is fantastic. I have a clamcase that I have used on the same iPad gen 4 and the keyboard on this one blows it out the water. It is by far the best keyboard experience I have had, and I have tried plenty. It also has a speaker which is a great plus and although the speaker is not the best, it sure is not terrible.My problem with this product is the latch mechanism. Based on the instructions, you are suppose to put the a rubber piece that goes on the hinge/cradle mechanism and then slip the iPad in. It slides in fine, but when you close the iPad onto the keyboard the hinge mechanism bends and the iPad inches out slowly out of place for that fact alone I was going to return it to Amazon. The only reason I have decided to maybe keep it is that I found a work around. I placed iPad into plastic free sleeve and then with the rubber piece that goes into the hinge/cradle still in place, I slide my iPad/sleeve combo in. It was a tight push in but so far it has not come out. I had to play around with the rubber piece since it slid a bit out of place.
