Raleigh Detour 2 Comfort Bike

Note for fit I’m 6’1 and 208 lbs and this bike fit just right size xl 21”Received my Raleigh Detour 2 in mint condition ,packed well with no damage from UPS or Amazon. Took me 30 mins to assemble and adjust limit screws /derailleur. Bike was pretty dialed in from factory, just needed to adjust hi/low limit screws on derailleurs and adjust brake levers and pads. The bike is very well constructed with good geometry and attention to detail. The polished aluminum on the handle bar and stem are a nice touch. The comfort seat is just too wide for my taste and heavy too. I replaced it with a Oval seat from a Fuji Nevada I had. Much better... I may swap out the bar and stem with a flat setup like 620 mm for a sportier ride. But overall good bike A- just replace seat if it’s not to your liking that’s only factor from 5 Star. Update rode 9 miles today, so comfortable... slower pace than my hybrid Vilano Diverse 3.0. Note though this bike is built for comfort and style and it delivers!

Great bike, easy to put together, great ride, comfortable seating position. Just did a 26 mile trip along the ocean in RI right after putting it together, couldn't be happier, this bike is great. First time in a log time my arms did not fall asleep from the straight handle bars, these are slightly racked back, it makes a huge difference.

It seems like a fairly well constructed bike. It is a little difficult to assemble and I suppose, like any 21 speed bike it is difficult to adjust properly. The front and rear derailleurs are particularly difficult, and the brakes are not easy either. Adjustment must be accomplished by suspending the rear of the bike off the ground. Also, no kickstand. That will have to be purchased. The price on the 15 inch model was a good deal.

Tried another cheaper bike and it was total garbage. This bike is fantastic for the price. Took my first spin the other day and I loved it. The video pinned to the product description is very useful when it comes to putting it together. Great, great bike!

I got around to riding this about 6 months after buying it. Not sure what my problem was. Easy to put together and is so comfortable. Rode this thing all around the beach on Thanksgiving. Would definitely buy again.

Very sturdy - fairly easy to assemble. Perfect for my 6'3" son. Wish it had come with a kickstand - but was able to add one easily enough.

Really great bike

Solid bike, installation was pretty simple, took about an hour.
