After reading reviews and some personal experience I see that I was fortunate to receive two fairly decent gnomes since my 3rd, along with its replacement, were defective and those following afterwards were lost in transit.This standing gnome was my 2nd and required a bit of work since his hair was caught in the back seam during construction. Once I took care of that and combed out the rest he looked very cute and was quite entertaining since this particular design has the added attraction of shaking—with indignation?—when touched which he did well and often until, much to his delight, I found a more gnome-appropriate, i.e., off the beaten path, spot for him.If you're new to gnomes as decor this one has several interesting elements and is reasonably priced for its size. Better yet, it doesn't run the risk of having a paint-splotched nose since his is made of fiber rather than resin.So I could see him better I moved Torvald closer to my desk and then gave him some fall accessories and fairy lights that I made out of half liter Weck Tulip jars also purchased here. The sacks full of leaves that he and Torstein, another standing gnome, have been busily raking were also purchased here. Torstein is the tomte holding a sack and you can see the Weck Tulip jar better in the photo w/his review.

Love this little guy!!!!!He looks more expensive then he is!I have quite a collection☺️ But he’s definitely one of my favorite!

I ordered this as a gift for someone that collects gnome, and it was perfect! The leather hat is very unique! A few of tufts of beard fell off, but not enough to be overly concerned about. I will order again if I am ever shopping for this type of item. It’s a great value and very giftable!

I brought “him” out for Christmas and even though it’s brand new it broke. The metal thing in the middle that makes it move detached, the metal broke off. No way of fixing it and it’s a shame because it’s better quality than most of the ones made in China, except for the metal that broke.

But he leans forward so much he almost falls over. Have tried to bend to straighten but that doesn't work.

Love this little guy and he will be part of many more Christmas trees to come
