Dangerous
I'm not that heavy that it could be my fault but when I fell the other night and tried to use it, going from the middle step to the top step it broke and trapped me within it at a 45 degree angle as if I was in a bear trap. Very painful and took way long to get out despite my very strong son trying to release me. Added a bunch of bruising. My son was so mad he hurt his foot kicking it. I want my $400 back. This thing is firewood worthy now.

You need upper arm strength
We got this for my mom who had two knee replacements. If she falls she cant put weight on her knees to get back up and lifting her is difficult. So when it came in we were very excited with the design and how light weight it was, although it was bigger than we expected. We got her on the floor and had her try it. She couldnt get up. I think if someone has good upper arm strength they should be fine, but she didnt, so the purpose wasn't served. We had to return it.

LIFE SAVER
Expensive, but much cheaper than an ambulance, possibly breaking down your front door, doctor bills and lengthy tests. I was down for over seven hours after a fall. I wasn't near a phone ( I now wear a Medical Alert System). With each passing hour I got weaker. Sometimes going into and out of shock. I had a lot of time to think of what would work. These ResQup stairs are great and are wide enough to scoot up to a seated position to standing. That's the time to self treat for shock by lying down covering up and drinking electrolytes until a loved one, caregiver or emergency services get there. By the way I'm not Matt. I'm his mom. The only other thing I would suggest is a furniture dolly that is wide enough long enough and would hold the weight of your torso and head. That is not over 3 inches tall that you could roll over onto your back. Then propel yourself by using your feet to another room where your ResQup stairs await you. Don't laugh, the energy you use trying to scoot yourself any other way is prohibitive and exasperating the problem. Thanks to the doctor for inventing this product. If anything else it gives you peace of mind.

Good for light weight folks
Bought this just in case my dad fell, he did and we finally used this. It worked well enough for him getting to his wheelchair. It's not sturdy enough for heavier folks, so I'd only recommend this for lightweight folks (my dad is only 160 lbs). Not good value for the money BUT when your folks fall down you'll regret not having bought this. Of note, it's sturdier on the side edges so try to put pressure there instead of the soft middle. Also kneeling on this isn't recommended, I can see it breaking if you do. Manual also states to not use as foot stool.

Light-weight, very convenient
Purchased this for an aging parent who has been falling a lot. Fortunately no serious injuries, but unable to jump back up again. They have been making do with boxes and piles of books to gradually reach standing position, but very difficult without a place to push up with hands. These steps have been just the ticket! They are wide and the hand grips are even padded. They fold into themselves for easy storage and the lower steps fold inside right during use to get out of the way as each higher level is attained. Not quite high enough to stand up from top step in our case, but high enough to transition into a chair. Initially thought the price was a little high, but really a very clever and useful device, very happy with the purchase.

This worked even better than I hoped
Purchased for my 89 year old Mother who can no longer stand after a fall and I have difficulty lifting her. This worked even better than I hoped. She was able to lift herself from step to step. Once at the top it was easy to get her over to a chair. Folds up for storage, a little bigger than I expected, but we were able to use it in a doorway, where she had her next fall. I highly recommend this product, very sturdy and exactly what I needed.

Piece of crap
This thing is a piece of CRAP. It does not work with anyone not in great physical shape. When you put it on the floor it slides faster than my mother can keep up with. The rubber feet they installed just rip out and continue to slide. SAVE YOUR MONEY, for the price of this thing you can almost buy a patient life off Amazon.

This is a great idea but I have found that it does not ...
This is a great idea but I have found that it does not work well for my husband because it requires a good deal of arm strength. If he falls and is not near a chair or sofa, I still have to drag him over to one. Even if he is near a chair or sofa, the ResQUp needs to be positioned between the fallen one and the chair and this can be difficult if he/she is weak. Will probably use this as a very expensive gardening bench.
