Great flame effect "burning" in correct direction. Dim, but offering a realistic gas light appearance.
Just received the product. Flames "burn" in the correct direction for top install light! Diffuser makes a significant improvement in the effect, blurring the LED pixels, creating a more realistic flame appearance. Light is not as bright as I expected and has more of a true orange/reddish glow. Far warmer than the "warm white" LEDs elsewhere on the house. Very happy with the product.

We have enjoyed them very much
We purchased these bulbs in preparation for an open house at our new home. We have enjoyed them very much, and have had many comments on them from those attending the open house. The bulbs themselves are standard base, very sturdy, and produce a realistic flicker of candlelight. Make sure when you purchase them, that you get the correct lamp for your situation. We purchased lamps that screw up into a fixture, and so made sure the flame still appears to come from the bottom. If your fixture is the opposite (bulb down into a fixture) then you'll need the model where the flame appears to come from the base. We're not planning on keeping these in our outdoor garage fixtures year round, but rather for special occasions, so they will hopefully last for many years.

flicker movement is too fast to register as real
The actual appearance, such as the flame like color and the somewhat natural flame-like shape/movement is great, but the moving is too fast to actually come across as real. If the movement could be slowed down a tad these would be perfect and would fool anyone.As it is it moves just a smidge fast and gets annoying and after a few days I took them out and threw them away and put regular vintage bulbs in. Maybe the technology will eventually improve so the flame flicker effect is more believable but it's not there yet.

The "top to bottom" version actually works. It's hard to find this type of bulb since most assume that it will be installed at the bottom of a light fixture (bottom to top flame). My only complaint is that you can still see the individual LED lights even with the diffuser.It would be much better if more LED lights were used in this product and placed much closer together. Then, the light would be brighter and produce a more realistic flame.

Installed this in my porch lights outside without the cover because i felt like the cover made them look more like a candle flickering instead of an actual flame and they look awesome! One of the ONLY ones that i found that have the Top mount option which means the flame goes from the top to bottom because the bulbs screws in upside down. They aren't as bright as I'd like them to be, but my neighbors all have gas burning porch lights and it looks like the real deal. I would definitely reccommend this product.

Looks really cool. The diffuser was too big to fit in to my tiny outdoor lamp, but it still looks good from the road. You have to get really close to see the individual LED's

One was broken out of 4 ordered.
Ordered 4 lights, only needed 3 for a lamp post, one was received broken, 3 worked good which luckily was all I needed, but for the price, would expect all would be good. Can't wait to see how they look at night.

Not the brightest...
Not the brightest bulbs especially if they are for lighting the way, but very effective flame effect. I’ve gotten unsolicited positive comments and people have asked me where to get them.
