Update after 1yr usage: The chairs continue to work the same, with below mentioned minor issues. I just noticed that they are now available at a cheaper cost and with prime (I paid Rs.1000 for shipping alone), so this is now a very good deal. In fact, I happen to go to the local furniture shops today and happened to notice this exact model being sold for Rs.2500 each, so the price at Amazon is not bad, especially with offers.All of us in our family (2 adults and 2 kids) love to use these stools. At first we had a half a mind to cheap out and get simple metal stools with fixed base from local bazaar, but I convinced myself that the additional comfort and usability of these stools will be worth the extra cost and I am happy with that decision so far. They fit quite well at our island kind of thing (see the picture). They need to be assembled, but it is so easy that even a kid can do it. The hydraulic piston is so strong that to lower the height of the stool, an adult would need to be sitting on it while pushing the lever down and I am guessing that this will prove to be a good thing in the long run.I removed 1 star for the following reasons:- Before I purchased, I inquired the seller to get details on the material used and I was told that it is metal everywhere except for the base bushes (the cushion can't be metal, of course). However, the chrome style beadings around the cushion are made of plastic with a thin chrome colored polythene layer. In fact, one of the cushions had a small tear (can be seen in one of the pictures) and I could feel how thin and flimsy the top layer is. However, after using for about 4 weeks, I don't think it will get damaged from normal use, so this is not a huge issue.- The fit and finish of the beading around the cushion is not great (see my pictures to get an idea of what I mean). It looks fine at a distance but if you come close you will notice that they lack workmanship. The edges are not straight and there are gaps where the ends meet. This doesn't of course make any difference to the functionality or comfort, but definitely an eyesore for someone who is particular. I have contacted the seller about the finish and about the small tear in the beading and they quickly sent me replacement cushions. Unfortunately, the replacements looked the same indicating that this is their limitation. Make sure you can accept and live with this level of fit and finish before you order. Honestly, I don't observe most of these defects in the day to day usage.MBTC definitely scored high for having a very good customer service. They are open to resolve issues and they communicate well and follow through their promises. They seem to care about our experience and feelings. If they work on improving the finish of the product, the stools would look more professional and would then receive 5-star rating from me.PS: Someone mentioned in their review that the up/down lever broke off very easily. Mine came with a metal level, except for a plastic tip (another discrepancy from the picture and description). However, the tip looks strong enough that I am not worried at all that it would ever break in the regular usage. Besides, I am sure he/she didn't contact MBTC about this issue, or they would have been kind enough to send a replacement, so it didn't deserve a 1-star rating.

Anytime throughout history or the future such poorly made products couldn't be acceptable. One extra star for the design/appearance itself.

Not sturdy, feels like delicate chair.

Parts are missed. faced lot of troubles returning... what not. Never recommend this product at all.looks cheap, missing parts, problem with seller .... uhh

To those of you wondering about this product, this stool is simple there is no gold or diamond in it just a shiny steel stool.Downside: it tends to rust!

product is very nice but got replacement as one chair was shaking with unstable jack.person who came to exchange the product was so rude and arrogant.i was unable to dissemble this chair to repack in box and expected some help from him, but he seat aside and continuously murmuring that he is "SP".finally i asked what is "SP". he said something from nose and didnt even guide me to repack and dissemble the chair.finally i calked a neighbour and repacked the product, while then the tapori like delivery boy was just seating and disturbing us.thank god i was at home while this happened otherwise this tapori would fight with my family.Finally that SP removed all of the bubble wrap and paper balls i wraped and throw all that parts in box one on another like scrap.i was shocked.Dear amazon, appoint some good and genuine person when you are going to someone's house.

The product was good enough to look..A little bit disappointed with the edge beeding which is fibre instead of steel
