Quicken Starter 2019 Personal Finance Software [PC/Mac Download] 1-Year Subscription + 2 Bonus Months [Amazon Exclusive]

Quicken used to be the absolute best personal financial software on the market, you can tell the quality has deteriorated, and the customer service is marginal. What ashame, I have used since the early 1990s, my historical data is the only reason I don’t change to a different service.

Although the overall rating for this product is excellent, I asked for a refund because I received a one year free subscription after purchasing TurboTax. The description of the Turbo Tax product on the Amazon site should include a statement that there is a special offer. I also had trouble receiving the free downlaod for the Quicken Starter. When you click on the claim offer, it will take you to Quicken and try to charge you $34.99 for the product. After a few hours of calling Intuit and Quicken, I was able to "claim" my free download.

This is close to a disaster. Takes way too long to download, it is not easy, but what choice do we have? EASY...stick with 2018. Why can't Quicken get it together? Someone in the tech group thinks difficult is cute. It is not. Formerly, everything was on my Amazon download account, but it is now a total pain. Instead of being user friendly, it is user difficult. I would wait until 2020. Good Luck

There are a lot of quirks to the UI that I really don't like (for example: you can't hide accounts, so even rarely used accounts always appear in your account list), you have a lot of repopulated categories that override the ":" function (in Quicken 2007, typing : gets you to a subcategory), but there are a lot of things that are good - it's a database implementation, and you can enter lots of text (if you wish), you can sort on all kinds of things, etc.Really, it's usable but very different -- some things are incredibly annoying, others not well though out, some new and useful features (tags) and others much improved (like check printing, which works every time without adjustments).So all-in-all, it's pretty good ... though the annoying UI quirks and the unexpected limitations are surprising, given how long Quicken (in one form or another) has been in the market.

Read discription of product carefully, I purchased for new computer hard drive after older version was erased. I always liked the net worth and portfolio investment graphs on older versions that you paid for once, not every year. Disappointedthat deluxe version is needed for tracking investments. $49 every yr is costly, I requested a refund and will continue to do basic budget on Excel and use Schawb portfolio management tools offered free online.

I’ve used Quicken on and off for more than 20 years. It was easy to install from a digit download and didn’t take long at all. I easily set up my credit cards, but when it came to my bank account, it was a disaster. I spent over 5 hours trying to set up those accounts and it never worked properly. Since the other features worked fine, I think the issue is specifically between Quicken and my particular bank.Also to note: the product description is clear in that it doesn’t track retirement accounts. I missed the fact that it doesn’t connect to my car or home loans.Ultimately, it was an easy return through Quicken themselves. They approved my request within a business day and said a check would arrive within a month.

I liked Quicken for many years and was hoping this version (2019) had gotten better. NOPE. Sad this version is actually worst. Slow to start up, because it connects on-line and you have to create a account with Quicken to even use it also. REALLY??? I do not need a company tracking my checking account, I already have that... It's called my bank. I will never buy QUICKEN AGAIN. Done. I'll use this (because I paid for it) till I find something better, but that's it. Do yourself a favor if you are looking for a checking account program and find something else other than quicken.

I was already familiar withe the Quicken layout, but looking for a program without the ever increasing bloat and cost.
