Great shorts, but with SHORTcomings (ha!)
These really are nice shorts, and I DO like them. But I have to knock a star off for one issue:The knife pockets are way too inset. 5.11 Taclite/ABR pants/shorts are an example of a PERFECTLY positioned knife pocket. On the Propper, they are way too close to the crotch, and it can make sitting down uncomfortable with any knife larger than a Para 3. Also, the material they use for the pockets doesn't seem as tough as the pant material. And speaking of 5.11, they put a knife pocket on the right side and a mag pouch on the left. To me, that's ideal. While I am not opposed to dual knife pockets, it would be nice to see something like that. Are these great shorts? Yes. They are. They're comfortable, they seem durable, they do a GREAT job of keeping your shirt tucked in, better than any other company out there. They line the waist with this silicone-like strip that will whistle if your run your finger over it. Time will tell how long that strip will last, though. For as long as it will, it does a GREAT job of keeping your shirt tucked in.I really do like them, and I will likely buy more. But it would be nice if they beefed up the material on the knife pocket and moved it an inch or so to the right.

Pretty good
These shorts are pretty good. However, I wish they had more belt loops. Also the one thing that a lot of people seem to love about these shorts, I cannot stand. And that is the rubber lining to hold your shirt tucked in. I don't keep my shirt tucked in. And it just isn't helpful in any way for me. But all together they seem to be durable and comfortable.

The 2 front pockets for phones and/or flash lights are also nice and roomy
Outstanding product.Material stretches with me as I move so I never feel binded. The 2 front pockets for phones and/or flash lights are also nice and roomy. I keep my iPhone 7 Plus there and it fits with maybe 1/2 inch sticking out. And I was pleasantly surprised, when I sit down it moves out of the way. The slash front pockets have an area for knife/flash lights clips built in so the pockets last longer and carrying a knife or flash light or keys there (or anything with a built in clip) is more comfortable. The cargo pockets have built in pockets for AR magazines but it’s not too much of a problem to move them out of the way to put my wallet or other items in.The only issue I have with these shorts is I feel like they simply make them from the pants and I like my shorts a little roomier in the legs but even that wasn’t enough to make me not give it 5 stars. If you like this style of pants or shorts you will LOVE these!

Good pants, only a few nitpicks
Good: Durable, great for summer, even at the gym for workout; slots and loops for items; good manpants lengthBad: "cell phone pocket" are really for items like pens and knives, or old 90s flip phones. They are either too shallow for large items, or too narrow to retrieve small items. Weird dimensions, you'd think they'd just make them slotted thigh cargo pockets with the same width.I bought the 28" waist, but it kinda felt like 30" given how much space around my waist, and I'm actually getting fatter too. Propper tends to have weird size fluctuation over their series, the original tactical shirts for instance feel like tents at XS but perfect with Kinetic shirt.Overall good shorts, I'd buy the blue if I didn't already have a navy one, but it wasn't on sale.

Durable shorts for the concealed carrier
I rarely write reviews unless the product is better than expected or extremely unsatisfactory. In this case the product is better than I expected. These are great shorts, very robust & comfortable. If you carry a concealed firearm on a daily basis you know how much of a benefit clothing designed for that purpose is. These shorts were definitely made with that in mind & make carrying that much more comfortable. Very happy with my purchase & will be buying some more in other colors.

I like it but prefer Truspec
These are good solid shorts. Good heavy sturdy material. Good wasteband with stay put band for tucked shirts. Truspec ascent is a bit softer and a little shorter.Good selection of pockets but I prefer the Truspec ascent pockets. I thought the cell pockets on the front would be interesting and hold the phone higher, however, since it is in front it sticks you in the leg when sitting. The spot for edc knife is a reinforced spot in corner of pocket which is ok but not as good as the Ascent dedicated pocket.Overall good shorts and happy to have them for variety, but I find the Ascents better for me.

More synthetic fiber = lasting longer and staying dryer in wet weather.
I also have these in black.I especially love the higher synthetic content because it makes the material more durable and water proof. They’ll obviously last a lot longer then if they were mostly cotton.I have an issue with my pants/shorts wearing out in the crotch area when the fiber content is mostly cotton.

Pretty decent, with some minor issues with the pockkets.
GOOD:* The fit, comfort, etc are all great.* There is a silicone stripe in the waistband that keeps them from slipping down.* The belt loops are wide.* Fabric is rip-stop, and small splashes bead up.BAD:* The front, flat, cellphone pockets are designed for 1990s flip phones.* The side cargo pockets have extra pockets inside that get in the way of putting things inside.* Plastic, sewn button instead of rivet or snapper.

Lots Of Pockets But Kind Of On The Expensive Side
I was hesitant to buy such expensive shorts but I went ahead anyway because the features it had were not found by other brands [at least sold within Canada] for my intended use for them. The quality is good, no annoying loose stitching or thin material. There are plenty of pockets to stuff whatever you need for them. The main seller for me are the two small pockets that are just below the belt loops. They fit perfectly for my Google Pixel 3 WITH an Otterbox case nicely [the tip of the case just peaks out]. Now if you have a tablet for a phone then it will be useless. I like shorts to run jut below the knees and these do the job but some of you might like to show a little bit more skin so just throwing it out there if you're concerned about inseam length. My only concern is the zipper do not seem very high quality, so I have no idea if they'll be durable over time but we shall see. Overall I highly recommend these shorts but just wish they were priced way lower but that's how it goes when you live in Canada.
