Ridge Merino Wool Multiuse Neck Tube

This is a true heavyweight merino wool neck gator, especially compared to the overpriced and super thin Buff counterpart. The black is simple and versatile. It's warm on the ski slopes, which was the reason for my purchase. Only one issue: I have sensitive skin and this is ever so slightly scratchy. It feels fine over my ears and head, but on my neck it irritates me a bit. As a result, I use ths ONLY to cover my ears and head (usually under a cap) and use a microfiber Buff on my neck.It washes well and retains its shape/stretch.

I use them on my daily bike commute in the winter.I also use them for skiing.They come in handy for the covid mask thing too.I throw in washing machine every week. Hang to dry.

Super comfortable and useful! Mainly used it as a scarf to block sand and dust, but also a beanie, and eye mask. Definitely has a permanent place in my travel bag from now on. Only gripe is the tag can be scratchy.

Works just like you want it to, lightweight and well-made. I wear it “pirate hat” style when the temps are high to keep sweat out of the eyes. Helps to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, dries quickly and easily. Being wool, it won’t burn or melt if used as a pot holder. One of the most versatile pieces of gear I own.

As many people have said, the fit of these are not great if you have a smaller head. They are made for medium and up heads (consider what hat/helmet size you wear). Even worse IMO is the product pages states that it is 95% Merino Wool and 5% Spandex. HOWEVER there is only 84% merino wool and 16% Nylon. NYLON IS NOT SPANDEX.

It’s a little snug around the neck and tight stretching over the face. Not very elastic however it is definitely merino wool.

Nice and warm, lightweight, thin Merino fabric but it kept neck and ears warm in Yosemite snowstorm with temps in the low 20s. You can pull it up over your head and nose like a balaclava. It's a bit tight around my neck, though. I'm a woman, 5'6" tall, 120 lbs. Other than that it's a great product and I'd buy one again.
