Solid, well built, quiet generator at a great price.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I like it. It seems solid and well built. It started up on the second pull and now starts on the first pull. At 48.5lbs It's very manageable with one person (to me anyway). It comes with a socket wrench, funnel (no oil), parallel connection cable, screw driver (for front panel), jumper cables and an RV adapter. It was well packaged and I was able to get it running relatively quickly. You'll need to add oil and it suggest different weight oil for different temperatures. I added 10W30 for winter running. You'll need to change the oil after the first 8 hours of use and then you can go 200 hours between changes.I ran a few test (check out the video) and all in all I am pleased. I was actually shocked at how quiet the generator was.Just a reminder, this is actually a 1,600 watt generator that can max out at 2,000 watts for a few seconds.********6 month Update: I haven't had to use this generator all that much but I did start it a few times over the course of 6 months and it still starts up. I'd say you have to give it 3 hard pulls to get it going after it's been sitting for a while. My wife struggles a bit to pull it hard enough. Use your foot to stop it from moving and pull hard. Also, I decided to drain the gas as I haven't been using it that much and I didn't want the carburetor to get gummed up. I syphoned the gas from the tank and followed the directions to remove the gas from the carburetor. Removing the gas from the carburetor was a very simple process and I was very impressed by their setup. The manual wasn't too clear as to where the screw was so I included a picture in this update on how to do it. You simply turn a screw (not all the way) and the gas drains from a tube connected to the carburetor. I would recommend doing this if you don't plan on using the generator at least once every couple months. You can add fuel stabilizer as well which will give you about a year before you need to drain it.Please check out the video for a more detailed review! Exceptional quality for the price!
This is identical to the Yamaha. Started on the second pull out of the box. Great quality. I purchased to run sump pump when power is out. It works great for my purpose.
