Things I like about the camera:1) Solar powered. After purchasing a charger to complete the initial charge, the internal battery remains charged after 6 weeks of low sun/overcast days2) Response is good on video mode3) Photos and videos are crisp and clear in daylight hoursThings I dislike about the camera:1) Dusk to dawn photos are REALLY bad. Always too dark to see what is in the image and too blurry to make anything out. The camera is useless during this time. I am on a cul-de-sac with a street light (well out of the camera field of view) so poor quality is not a result of a total blackout issue.2) In Photo mode during dusk to dawn, the triggering to take a photo is delayed many times to the point you can only catch a glimpse of a blurry image as it leave the field of view3) The field of view is too narrow (40 degrees). Should be at least 60+Would I buy it again? No, not until dusk to dawn photos have evolved to the point where one can see what is on the image.

Still early but the internal battery has stayed fully charged for 7 days and 500+ pictures. Of it was in perfect conditions with moderate temps and very good sunlight. The night pictures with a moving subject the pictures are blurry...not very good honestly. My guess is once in the woods where the deer will be slow moving or stationary it'll be decent. The red IR is very visible to the human eye...not sure if there will be any game concern. Day pictures and sensitivity are superb. I got this for only $135 buck so I am super happy with it so far! *** Update*** Still happy with this camera. Night shots are blurry especially if the subject is moving at any speed. When not using in the woods I have this in my front yard...put it up on 22 Jan 16 with a 32 gig SD card...on 11 Mar 17 I checked it to find the AA batteries fully charged and the internal solar charged battery also fully charged! I thought that was pretty impressive! The 32 gig SD had 30 gigs used.Updated 11 Jan 18...this thing is still amazing with internal batteries. AA batteries have never been replaced in over a year. Gonna buy another one!

Picture quality is poor, videos are even worse, and they still use .avi.In addition, when you try to get help the customer service is horrible. Not worth the effort.****Additional Info****I've had this camera, finally replaced, for over a year now. The internal battery will not hold a charge and the camera is completely dead. I'm thinking you may only get about a year before the camera dies. I can't get it to turn on at all now.

It has been several months and I have never had to replace the batteries so the solar charger in it works great, even in partial shade. Photos are very clear, daylight photos are better than night vision though, as expected. It is easy to operate and has many really nice features to it. I would buy it again.UPDATE: It's been a year since I bought the first one. They are used daily and always produce good photos. I have only replaced the batteries once in a year, and this camera is in the woods, not open sun! Love it. I have 2 other brands up on site and this brand and model is by far the best, most user-friendly cam. I like the fact you can see where it's pointed without shutting the door and the slot for the cards make them easy to get in and out. The strap seems more secure than the ones that come with other brands. Very happy and will buy again.

Camera seems to forget what the date is and reset itself, though it still seems to take photos. I don't think I've lost any data. Thankfully, the number of the picture file is sequential, so they remain in chronological order. Features are good, fit+finish is good, picture quality is quite good, night vision quality is good, but the motion sense feature doesn't work reliably past about 50 feet.I got this camera as sort of an ersatz security system for my homestead, prior to the home getting built, and also to be able to create a time-lapse video of the build process. I have done the latter successfully, so it has met my expectations there. I am just annoyed about the date getting lost/reset, despite that the solar panel is facing east and it shows full battery for both internal and AA battery systems.Oddly enough, it doesn't forget the time, because despite the dates being wrong, it did correctly adhere to my dawn-til-dusk schedule for time-lapse photos every 15 minutes, starting at about 6am every day (+/- a few minutes)

Have given it limited use. Did not notice that the video it uses is only AVI, which is about 20+ years outdated. Despite that, even though I followed directions on setting it up to capture video, it has not yet captured any video at all. My big drawback in the product was that you had to have WiFi to register it, which I don't have. Quality of night time images is poor as well. The solar feature is a nice battery saver though. Others have reported having good results with this trail cam but for my purposes, it fails to perform.

I charged this system up with usb charger as per instructions. After 3 days it died. Neither the internal solar battery nor the brand new batteries I had inside could power it up. It was receiving about 6 hours of full sun exposure per day, not sure what difference that makes but I thought I'd point it out. Before it died, it took some nice quality images. Better than the average trailcam for sure. Night time images were pretty crisp, even got an image of a fisher. I kind of wanted to exchange it, as I definitely got a lemon, but I was afraid that somehow there is a bad batch out there and I didn't want the same thing to happen again. So I got a different camera. Still, this camera has good shutter time, very fast, and other nice features. Too bad they couldn't figure out how to smooth out the power supply problems.

Après quelques jours de recherche, je suis tombé sur cette caméra qui me séduisait du fait de son panneaux solaire en plus du reste bien sûre.Mon espoir est de ne plus avoir de problèmes de piles ce qui semble être souvent le cas.Autre point fort, il existe un site en français (canada) sur lequel on peut trouver les mises à jour (je ne sais pas si il y en a) et où poser des questions si besoin.Après réception du produit, déballage. Il correspond à ce que j'avais vu sur la toile.La première opération consiste à charger la batterie. Pendant ce temps, je lis la documentation en français et qui somme toute est assez simple.Le lendemain, configuration de la caméra.Pour ma part, j'ai besoin de prendre une photo toutes les 30 minutes.Après avoir placé la caméra sur mon terrain, je la laisse ainsi pendant 10 jours.Après ces 10 jours, je copie les photos sur mon micro.Bonne surprise, les photos sont de bonnes qualités, en couleur la nuit et en noir et blanc le jour.J'ai une interruption de quelques heures, suite sans doute à un manque de soleil, mais la prise de photo a recommencée toute seul.Pour moi, c'est un bon achat qui correspond à la description.Le seule point faible et la solidité de l'attache de la sangle qui n'a pas résisté à la première fermeture. Un détail qui ne vient pas assombrir la qualité du produit

Très bon produit, très facile à utiliser et économique avec le capteur solaire, seul bémol, je n'avais pas vu qu'il s'agissait de leds rouges, et même si ça ne fait pas une lumière très vive, dans le noir, cela se repère beaucoup trop! Vraiment dommage car mis a part cela c'est parfait !

Wow, juste Wow. La qualité de l'image est splendide que ce soit les photos ou vidéos. La porter de détection est grand, couvre grand, la compagnie parle de 100 pieds et c'est vrai. Facile à faire fonctionner, même super simple. Heureuse.

I'm not using this until later in the year but what I can say is, this is very impressive. The quality is outstanding. All the reviews seem to warrant this being an 83 out of a 100. Gotta love third party investigators.

Excellent camera. I've owned 4 different brands of cameras around the $200 mark and I like this one the best so far. Easy to use and set up and I really like the fact that can be solar powered as well as battery powered and has a 12 volt internal battery. The picture quality is good too.

Très bon rapport qualité prix! La pile intégrée a duré à elle seule au moins 4 à 5 mois grâce au panneau solaire, même par temps nuageux. Excellente qualité de photos.
