I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: I am impressed with the quality of this item. It also snips and clips very easily and smoothly. Many of these types of pruners do not give a smooth even slice, but these work great. I snip off a few Roses about 2 times per week, to bring inside and put in a short vase for my wife. These snip the Rose stems cleanly, and do not mangle them. I Recommend. Good Luck.

Comfortable grip and lightweight. Exactly what I expected. When they arrived they would bind a little when squeezing them closed and would not spring open. I slightly loosened the pivot bolt and pushed the blade over a little and lightly tightened the pivot bolt back (it's a 3/8" bolt) Now I love the action on them and am very happy with this purchase.

This company makes the best pruners. I have a small hand. I am able to use these pruners with no problems. They are sharp and stay sharp for an extremely long time. I have several pair for the family to use. We are all happy with the quality. I have a pair that was forgotten and left outside all winter, thru snow and rain, etc. I still use them. You cant go wrong buying these.

I am a casual gardener who occasionally volunteers at a farm and I got these to tend to tomatoes and greens. The grip isn't the most ergonomic but I like the blade shape. My hands are also mad tiny so that's a consistent problem for me finding adult size tools, so take that with a grain of salt. I've used it to snap and cut palm fronds with relative ease. Not the best I've ever used but clean cuts and holds up to various soil types and exposure to water, tho I wouldn't recommend it.

These Fiskars hand shears are a great buy. They’re lightweight, easy to handle, and the locking mechanism works smoothly. Most importantly, they cut cleanly and effortlessly. For the price, it’s worth spending a little more for the reliability of a name brand like Fiskars. No complaints at all—just a solid, dependable tool for garden trimming.

These cutting shears are very sharp and do the job they are supposed to do, easily cutting branches up to 1/2" thick. So far after 1 month they work very well. I'm curious to see how they will work after 1 year. For now, they are a good product.

I bought one to help my mom clean up and harvest the bamboo from her backyard garden. She borrowed it to use and demanded to keep it, so now I have to order another one for myself. Surprised because she's old and her grip strength isn't great.

Unfortunately, I tried too many of the other brands before I found these FISKARS BYPASS PRUNING SHEARS. All the others are now just laying around while my several Fiskars are in constant use. The EASY OPEN LOCK is in the perfect location to active with the thumb of the same hand I am already holding them in. All the others have blade locks which are either in the wrong place, or are too stiff to move with a spare thumb. These Fiskars are the fastest and handiest to actually use all the time.
