Much much better than rotary!
Miles about the rotary trimmers I have used for years and was never happy enough with. Also, I prefer battery to re-chargeable because you can always get a new battery when it begins to go -- no cords or plug-ins to carry, and no sudden loss of power with re-chargeables.

Regular AA batteries with this hair trimmer.
I would have given 5 stars had they said that you can replace the turbo battery with a regular Duracell AA or a slightly flatter rechargable AA. I searched all over looking for a turbo battery that doesn't exist. Other than that, it works really good.

Inexpensive and functions well
The trimmers function well, seem to be durable, and are easy to use. The light is an additional positive factor but may not be needed unless you are trimming in a dark room.
