QED Reference XT40i Speaker Cable 3.5 Metre Pair, Two Cables Terminated Gold Plated QED Airloc Forte ABS 4mm Banana Plugs On All Ends 8 Plugs In Total

Got these from Tim over at A1 who makes up these cables. The workmanship is second to none and he’s also one of the genuine guys who gives advice freely and without fuss. It all started with replacing the rather thick bi- wire jumpers on my venerable Howard’s with the XT Silver Anniversary from QED. What a transformation! I decided there and then to go the whole QED hog. It was a toss up between the XT Silver and XT 40i’s. I eventually plumped for the latter. However I absolutely loathed them during the very first week of listening. Eventually I was convinced I had made the wrong choice. Then one day I decided to ‘burn’ them in over a day on my ‘spare’ system. I also used an Isotek HFC System Tune Up freebie CD just in case as I had made up my mind otherwise they were going back. Then I forgot about it. The very next day I reconnected up the cable to my main system and, lo and behold, I got MAGIC! Everything sounded as I expected with a beautifully balanced sound free of nasties but with incredible heft, depth and detail which is still improving as the listening hours add up. Honestly my very last ‘upgrade’. Happy out 😊
