Its after the purchase that makes Landzie and its products better than most.
To be clear, I love the Landzie products. Which is why this review is so important .. On second use, one of the latches came loose, not sure why, when it came loose, the lid caught on the frame of the tumbler and bent SLIGHTLY, but the latch was damage in the twising. I reached out to Landzie and explained what happened and that I thought on my 2nd use, I should not have to keep a damaged unit. Within 24 hours I received a message from Joe @ Landzie, apologizing the my experience and, they sent me a replacement unit immediately. I own a business, stuff happens, which happens, like it or not, however, it is how the company handles the situation that makes the all the difference. It is clear from my personal experience, not only do I still love the spreader, I feel confident in my purchase, that Landzie backs up their products with an above and beyond approach to customer service. I will be buying more in the future and reccomend this product and Landzie because of how they handle a difficult situation, that no one wants.

Very well built.
Very well made spreader. Just a couple bolts to attach for the handle, wrenches included! I recommend the 24" model if you're going to push by hand. If you're going to pull with a powered vehicle, go big. The spreader itself is fairly weighty, so once loaded with compost or Peat Moss, you're going to grunt a little bit. Don't attempt with Top Soil, too heavy and the material empties too quickly if you're trying to get that 1/4" layer on top of over seeding. If your lawn is sloped, the effort is compounded, and if you move across a slope, the material will want to shift to one side of the spreader. Still, this cuts time in half when compared to the traditional raking method, leaves a consistent amount of product on your lawn so you will most likely use less. I would think this is a must for a contractor. Homeowners probably will only use this once a year, and then you will need space to store it. Would be nice to be able to adjust the length of the handle.

Update
No instructions included, and the hex nut does not fit The included bolt. Update- The company reached out to me after I had gone to the hardware store and bought a new nut. I found an instruction video online on how to assemble. They were very nice and for the problem. The nut only cost me $.30 at the hardware store, Lanzie customer service went above and beyond with their service and contact with me. Will definitely continue to buy other Lanzie products!

Great customer service
I received my 44 inch Landzie top spreader yesterday, but it came with no assembly instructions. It did come with a couple wrenches, and I wanted to make sure that I put the bolts and washers and cotter pins in the correct places. There are no assembly instructions on their website or anywhere else online. I heard back from somebody from the company who said they don’t have assembly instructions. Then I received a call from the owner/founder/CEO; he was pleasant, and stated that the spreaders are a one-step assembly that need no instructions, so I texted him photos. He called back, and let me know that I received one of the newer, upgraded models that needed more assembly than just clicking the handle into the roller; he had someone videotape assembly, & emailed it to me. I figured most of it out, but the pieces of hardware for the tow hitch and support pins had me puzzled until I watched the tape. The only things I'd recommend is having the manufacturer in China use heavy duty hinges and clasps, & recommend that people who purchase this and the larger model do so with the intent to tow it behind a mower; this thing is a beast to roll by hand, especially on sloping portions of yards but I got it done.

Great product, even better customer support
I've ordered things off amazon for over a decade and I don't think I've ever reviewed a single product until now. I ordered a Landzie spreader back in August in preparation for a lawn renovation project where I wanted something to top dress my new grass seed with peat moss. I ordered one which was towable because I have a zero turn mower and wanted to make lighter work of it.Well, my mower hitch is an oddly wide shape and unbeknownst to me while I was making my initial passes, my turns were causing the hitch to bend the hand grips on the handle downward. This bending deformed the fork for the hitch and made it so I could no longer reattach it to tow. I was dismayed, I wasn't sure if I'd done something wrong and I'd just broken my new spreader. I spread the rest of the peat moss on foot, which was harder to do pushing it around the lawn since the handles were now bent at an awkward angle. It spread extremely well, can't praise enough how well this laid out a uniform coating for my grass seed. On the one hand I was extremely happy with how it performed, but on the other I was troubled by the fact that I'd broken it while towing.I reached out to Landzie via their website and brought up the issues I'd experienced. I very quickly got a reply to my message asking if I could provide some images and go into detail, which I did. I was informed that a new handle would be shipped out to me free of charge and I received a phone call from the owner of the company to chat about the issue I'd experienced. He assured me that it wasn't my fault (I'd be perfectly willing to assume some responsibility as a newbie with this spreader) - the hand grips on the handle can detach (which I'll be doing in the future when towing) but most depictions on the Landzie site or in videos show it being towed with the hand grips still on. Andrew (the owner) admittedly had never had a need himself to detach them while towing because his hitch is a narrower shape that precludes the possibility of bending something that it's pulling. I'm not sure what Landzie's plans might be to prevent this in the future - it would probably suffice to have specific instructions noting that with oddly shaped hitches you should consider removing the hand grips so you don't damage them while turning...assuming we all read instructions thoroughly before using something, right? The solution to my problem is built in, I just didn't realize it would be a problem until after it was too late.We live in an era where it's very easy for companies to brush off things like customer service, and hide behind the mechanisms of the internet and other impersonal thing. Heck, half the time you order something online you're dealing with a monolithic organization, and any "support" you receive is buried underneath layers of chat bots or automated call center menus which lead to 45 minutes of elevator music and [ALL REPRESENTATIVES ARE CURRENTLY BUSY...] messages. I was impressed with a company of actual humans who responded promptly to my concerns and cared enough to give me a call and have a conversation about it. As I mentioned initially, the quality of this particular product is not in doubt. It did its job beautifully and my lawn renovation has been a success. When I was a kid I worked as a landscaper in the summers and fall for 7 seasons (9th grade through college), and I've top dressed my share of lawns with shovels and rakes. I would have killed to have something like this back then to turn hours of back breaking work on an acre lot into about 45 minutes breezing around the yard. It's an added bonus that not only are you getting a good product, but you're getting one that a small business is firmly standing behind and supporting. I know that sounds like a complete cliche that would usually make me groan and roll my eyes, but it's true and I would recommend this spreader and Landzie as a business any day of the week.

Satisfied with a hard to find item!
I'm happy, Works great, big box mostly assembled, just the handle to attach, and they even supplied some decent quality wrenches, not just stamped steel.
