Big fans
We purchased two of these for our two and three year old who are newly flashlight obsessed and I'm so glad we did. Regular flashlights are too bright and worried me with them looking directly into the light occasionally, but these are perfect. They're bright but not too bright and easy for them to handle. I'm also a huge fan of the extra steps it takes to put batteries in it, which makes it impossible for them to take the batteries out on their own.

Perfect for littles
My toddler loves lights and was always wanting to play with flashlights but would keep shining the bright lights in her eyes, so needless to say flashlights became hidden to avoid the diva 2 year old tantrum. Thankfully now, she has her very own flashlight and it is too cute! The colors of the flashlight itself are vibrant and girly and is durable( we're in a throw everything stage). I really like that the light is a little more dim so it isn't blinding but enough to see with and make it feel like a "grown up" flashlight. Also the carry handle is a feature for a toddler. All in all very happy with my purchase

Easy for my toddler to use
I bought this for my 19 month old daughter who loves flashlights. It is very easy for her to turn on and off and not too heavy for her. I like that the batteries are not easy to get to so she can’t take them out. The only con is that it isn’t very bright at all.

Product did not work.
We passed the return window by the time my granddaughter’s birthday arrived. However, new out of the package, the flashlight did not work even after placing batteries in it.

Just for kids
I order this flashlight for a Christmas gift and I wanted to set it up before we gave it to our daughter so she could use it right away. The first one I got didn’t work. After messing around with it for a while I saw one of the tiny cables on the flashlight head that clearly was meant to be connected but just barely missed the contact point. I went to return it and was worried a replacement wouldn’t come in time for Christmas. Not only did they ship the replacement immediately pretty much but they didn’t even make me ship the broken one back, which saved me a trip. New one came very quickly and works! I will say that the amount of work and tools required to get to the batteries makes me feel comfortable leaving this with my 2.5 year old daughter unsupervised (overnight). Even if the top broke off you still need to unscrew an additional compartment. It does appear a little dim, but since my daughter will undoubtedly shine this in her eyes a million times I don’t think it’s a bad idea to keep the light a bit dim. It’s also a very large light source so for the price I don’t expect it to be super powerful. We are just using this at night time in her room so of its for camping you might want to try a lantern style flash light which is brighter. Over all it’s ADORABLE and we love it!

Great price for durable flashlight
I bought two different versions of this flashlight for my 2 and 4-year-old niece and nephew. They recently found one of our household flashlights and have become enthralled with it, so I wanted something kid-friendly for them.Melissa & Doug products I have bought in the past have been high-quality, but also high-priced; not the case with these flashlights. While still extremely high quality, the price point was really good (around $9 each). The packaging was simple to get into, the flashlights are sturdy, yet lightweight, and the safety features to keep children from getting to the small batteries are thoughtful. The on/off button is easy to work, and the handle makes it easy for small hands to keep a good grip.We are looking forward to many fun times playing flashlight tag, creating shadow puppets, and "camping" in the living room! This is an excellent product and I was not disappointed at all.

No child will break this, but the battery life isn't long
This was the most frustrating flashlight I'd ever gotten. It was so hard to open just to put batteries in that I'd nearly thrown this thing out. But despite being thrown directly onto the concrete, it survived whole heartedly. And I wasn't messing around, I wanted to shatter this thing. But still, this little bug didn't give up. And when the batteries were finally in it, my daughter loved it!But it lasted for two days, then it was time for a replacement. So while it's nice looking, sturdy, perfectly safe for a kid, this is one product that I won't buy again.
