No, you do not remove the casing on these. You can cook it and eat it.

These are made in Spain. Never been to Guam, but I am from Puerto Rico another previous Spanish colony and we use them there to add flavor to our food.

I find that these have a use-by date on the package. So since they are like a dry salami, they should last several months unopened, and then use within a week once opened.
