I picked this up to use as a light above my turntable. The furniture my turntable sits on doesn't have an edge suitable for a clamp so I purchased the one with the base. I figured if there was a problem with the base, like others have mentioned, I could buy my own rubber feet for it. But I didn't have to do that. The base has good quality rubber feet on it out of the box, which work well. You can't slide it across the table. You have to pick it up because the feet are very grippy.You can tell that you're getting your money's worth for this. The base is nice and heavy, the construction is sturdy, and the goose neck is that perfect balance of stable and moldable. It works really well for my application. It has multiple color temperatures, including the soft one that I prefer.I'm very happy with the purchase. Not sure why people were getting scratches. Whatever it was it appears to be fixed now.

I got this to help with cleaning the dust from my vinyl records. It's an excellent product. The best part for me is that the on/off button is on the "head" of the lamp, rather than the base. So I'm able to position the lamp with the base behind my TV set. The head of the lamp looks like it's floating above my turntable. Since the controls are on the head, it's super-easy for me to turn the lamp on and off, set the brightness, and change the color temp.Overall it's a fantastic, well-made product. I just wish it cost a little bit less. The only thing I'd suggest for a future version would be for it to "remember" it was turned on in the event of a power failure. So any time the power goes out for a minute and then comes back on, I wouldn't have to turn the lamp back on again.

I wanted a nice light for my turntable and this fit the bill. Light level and color can be dialed in to what you prefer which is nice. It is heavy, the light level is ideal, and the neck is flexible but, stable. My only quibble is the on/ off switch which is flush and integrated into the head, near the lamp. It is barely detectable, and it is hidden underneath in a location where you can’t see it so, you have to know where it is and then find it by feel. Not great. You will get used to it once you know where to find it but, good luck to your untrained partner. I would prefer if it were more pronounced and tactile. I also wish that the switching was more intuitive… You have to long hold the flush button to turn the light on, then you tap the button to cycle through all of the colors and intensity levels. Then a long hold to turn it off. I find myself needing to cycle through each time I turn it on, searching for the combination I like. I wish I could just set my preference, then turn it on and off with a single tap. Other than that, it is perfect.

My mother is a quilter and spends hours at her sewing machine. I bought this as a work light for her sewing table and she Loves it! The base is solid and heavy enough to suport the light head in any position. The neck is very robust, flexible and stays exactly where you position it.

I'm very happy with this purschase. It was delivered very quickly.It's a perfect match for an turntable.

100 bucks and it has micro usb with a cheap power brick. the listing is misleading. it says usb connection and directly under that it says type c (see picture). its actually not referring to the usb, but a clamp which is for an entirely different product. my bad for not paying close enough attention, but that seems purposefully misleading considering there is no "type c" clamp on this product. also the fact that it uses micro usb is not listed anywhere.
