Usually, the lidocaine is 1% but this is 5% and can feel the difference rightaway. And the spray bottle is good for reaching the back.

Effectiveness
There were no directions on how to use the bottle with the odd spray arm. You waste quite a bit of product spraying through the wand. Better off taking it off and spraying directly on the area. For me, about effective as every other product, but at a lower cost.

Doesn't numb anything.
My husband has a very low threshold of pain and I purchased this to spray on his toes so I could remove an ingrown toenail. It doesn't numb. It didn't help on the dog, either. I had to remove a cyst from her back.

Very messy to use. The area that I needed help with is on my neck and when I used it it dripped all over

The dentist told me it could be used in the mouth and also on the skin so an exposed nerve can be numbed but not for extraction that requires an injection...
