Hawk deterrent!
I have chickens and was having problems. I put this up on a pole in the middle of the yard. I haven't even seen the hawk since. No more dead chickens.

Don’t buy its junk.
After one mildly windy day the right wing (first picture) broke, appears the metal rivet failed causing the wing to detach from base. After a second windy day the left wing broke, the plastic piece on the base where the wing attached snapped. For a product that requires wind to do what it’s intended to do it is not made well.

Only good for one season before it tears and falls apart but works great for the season!
Works great for gardens. It only lasts a season before the material for the wings deteriorate and rips off making it no good. Expensive but works.

Almost impossible to mount
The media could not be loaded. The item itself looks like it will work great, however, I have no idea how we are expected to mount this thing on any kind of post.

It is really big
This owl is a good deterrent if you are trying to keep birds away. I like birds, but they are eating all of my chicken feed so I got the owl to prevent them from flying into my coop. At first it scared the heck out of my chickens because I put it in the coop, but then I moved it about 8 feet outside the coop and it has really made a difference. I did see a bird trying to come in the coop today, but at least its not 25 birds. I'll move the owl around once in a while to keep it looking real. My other birds are still coming to my feeders so this might work out. Time will tell.

LOVE IT!!!
Tiny birds were basically living in my blueberry plants- not any more!I'm not sure how long this will last as the material is not that sturdy looking but for now, both thumbs up!

Rjvet broke when wing extended, and more
OK, first, the rivet that holds the wing together broke apart when I extended the wing. No big deal, I'm very handy and used a small bolt and nut to hold it together. But the other wing would not stay extended either with the rivet that did hold. Two bolts later, the wings are fully extended and the owl looked pretty decent, scared the kids as I used a fishing line to hang from a tree branch. Well, they turned out to be the only ones afraid of the owl as squirrels, chipmunks and every bird in the neighborhood dined on all the fruits, berries and flowers in my tiny little back yard! I mean, if you like owls this is pretty neat with some tinkering but if you want it to scare something this just doesn't work... Maybe it's the 100th monkey scenario happening where critters aren't afraid of these types of deterrents any longer, who knows. My neighbor bought the equivalent of this in a motion activated hooting statue, looks the same, bought here, and I took a picture of a Robin that landed right next to it, owl moved and the bird still pecked through the newly wet grass seed patch to find worms, it was comical.

No pole and difficult to find one that fits.
No pole included, hard to find something that fits, so owl will spin. And actually look as if it is flying. Do not recommend!
