Human Development: A Cultural Approach (2nd Edition)

I read this book from cover to cover. It was concise, well-written, interesting, and even funny at times. Arnett is clearly an expert in his field and an excellent writer as well! I learned a lot from the book, and I especially enjoyed reading about developmental stages in other cultures.

Great book. Yes it was uses and had higher in it but I expected that. Worth the money and will purchase school books again from Amazon!

Arnett wrote this whole textbook and included pictures of his own children throughout. The book ventures into different theories of human development, and splits up life into different developmental stages. It starts with conception and ends with the afterlife. I loved the chapter on emerging adulthood (ages 18-25). It is written for Millenials, those who are currently in between high school and a career, but still don't feel like adults.

Book is exactly what it is - and a good text!, BUT! highlighter bleeds through the pages, even if you try you very hardest not to leave the pen down on the page too long. Unfortunately, this is a required textbook, and there's nothing you can do about it. :(

There were minimal markings and the book itself was easy to read with many great modern examples. I enjoyed the read!!!

Came in good shape and saved me tons of money than buying the actual textbook

It was a good price for a used book, the text was cheap so I jumped. Not realizing that the date they have listed as it's publication date isn't correct. The book itself says it was published in 2016, but for some reason Amazon says 2020. For those of us that are asked to use only sources published in the last 5 years this can be a real issue. I just rented the newer, 3d edition which was released in 2018 I believe. I will guess that like most texts that have updated edition published within 5 years it won't be much different so I'll use this until it arrives. I have to admit it was real beat up (not a big deal) and I enjoy other peoples notes.

Rental book, but came just as described in good condition and readable and functional. It was much cheaper than other places. I have looked.
