Feels Like Lipstick in a Pencil—for $2?!
I recently picked up the e.l.f. Cream Glide Lip Liner in “Truth or Bare”, and it’s honestly way better than I expected for the price. The formula is super smooth and glides on like a dream—no tugging or dragging. It’s really pigmented, and the semi-matte finish gives it a polished look without feeling dry. I’ve been using it to shape and fill in my lips, and it works perfectly both on its own and under lipstick or gloss. The shade “Truth or Bare” is a great peachy-nude that looks natural but still adds definition. It wears surprisingly well, though I do touch it up after meals. It’s also easy to sharpen and doesn’t crumble like some cheaper pencils. The fact that it’s vegan and cruelty-free is a huge bonus. For just a couple of bucks, this lip liner seriously punches above its weight—I already bought a backup!

Great quality for the price
I was honestly surprised at how good the e.l.f. lip liner is, especially given how affordable it is. I’ve tried a lot of high-end brands, but this one holds its own. It goes on smoothly, doesn’t tug at the lips, and the color payoff is excellent. It’s a perfect everyday neutral that pairs well with a lot of my lipsticks. What I love most is how long it lasts. I use it to slightly overline my lips and even wear it on its own with a little balm — it stays put for hours without drying me out. The pencil sharpens easily and doesn’t crumble, which is another big plus.If you’re looking for a budget-friendly lip liner that performs like a premium product, this is it. Definitely repurchasing in more shades!

Very impressed
Okay so I'm really impressed with this lip pencil. For like $2 you can't really beat that. I'm even more impressed with the ELF lipstick I got to go with this! It was about $2 and it is the only like cream lipstick I've ever tried that stays on for longer than 10 minutes. If I don't mess with it, then it lasts for a few hours & wld probably last a lot longer on other ppl bc I'm always rubbing my lips together, licking my lips etc etc so nothing lasts on me & I hate lip stains bc I'm 46 now & have no lips. Anyways I definitely recommend.

Pinky Swear is too pink/orange, not at all a dupe for Pillow Talk. Smooth, though!
This is very nice lip liner and goes on smoothly, but it's a bit too pink to look natural, esp if you're looking for a Pillow Talk dupe. I don't usually wear beige-brown tones, but this needs a LITTLE more of that. SEE PIC; left side is Tillsbury Pillow Talk in medium, right is Elf Pinky Swear. Notice how much pinker and more orange the Elf cream liner is. On the lips, it ends up looking odd and not particularly natural, even though it's not technically too dark or light.I'd considered the Truth or Bare shade, too, but the swatches I found made it look even more orangey than Pinky Swear! Maybe baddest beige is the way to go?? It looks too dark to me in the swatches, but I'll update if I buy it and it does end up working out.(Note, I have light complexion but enough ruddiness and sun exposure to not be SUPER fair. Naturally pinkish lips, but less so as I age.)If you do stick with Pinky Swear, it does pair really well with sephora lip stain in forever rose. The whole effect together is a bit too light for me (ie, slightly lighter than my natural lip tone unless I'm cold or not wearing basic lip balm), but it'd probably be great on most fairer people. On its own, though, without a filler color, the pinky lip liner just stands out too much (unlike pillow talk) and looks fake. :/

Best Lip Liner for this price!!
I recently tried the e.l.f. Cream Glide Lip Liner in the shade "Plum & Get It," and I’m seriously impressed! The texture is exactly what the name promises — it glides on effortlessly without tugging or dragging, making it super easy to line and fill in my lips precisely. The color payoff is fantastic — rich, highly pigmented, and true to what you see in the pencil. "Plum & Get It" is a beautiful, deep plum shade that works perfectly for both day and night looks. It gives a semi-matte finish that looks polished but still feels comfortable, never dry or flaky.I also appreciate that it’s vegan and cruelty-free, which is important to me when choosing beauty products. The formula feels lightweight but still manages to last several hours without needing constant touch-ups. It also layers well under gloss or lipstick if you want a fuller look. For the price, the quality is outstanding — smooth application, rich color, and a gorgeous finish. I’ll definitely be picking up a few more shades!

great lipliner
this thing is amazing, i’m not sure if id get that specific color again, it’s brown with some noticeable orange in there but id say if you have a darker skin tone it’d look great. its super creamy and im really picky about lipliners because they either don’t blend well or the color is way off, but this lipliner is great. definitely worth more than its price

Good coverage, pretty shades, applied smoothly
I am shocked at how well this very affordable elf lip liner works! Easy to apply, smooth, outlines my lips without looking overly drawn. I usually just use the liner and a tinted lip balm and my lips look fuller and softer than a lot of the more expensive brands. I have not yet sharpened it so I'm curious if it will continue to go on as smooth once it's resharpened. It does wear off a bit throughout the day so reapplication is necessary. But it doesn't dry out my lips and the coverage and stay power is good, esp for the price!

Mauve Aside
Obsessed with this lip liner shade, perfect for a Summer Fridays or paired with honey talks, elf lipgloss, this shade matches with any season! I have medium tan skin and my lips are a berry color and this shade adds more color while not being too light for my lip shade. Liner definitely feels creamy-with that being said it is not smudge proof it’s great for the price, but I’m guessing you’ll have to reapply after a few hours.
