An interesting read
This book is well structured. At the beginning, I was expecting the story to just start with the two main characters but this book is beyond that. The scenic beauty described in this book and the scenes rotating around Gautam's life, and his interest in the Lamas was an interesting part.A nice background is set for his familial conditions and nature of his family members, how his younger sister has innocent questions and his parents having different beliefs both to mend their children in a better way as per them.Tshiring having a different perspective for those living in places other than the mountains made me feel her innocence and her joy in sharing the beauty, the mountains hold for them as it reflects how pure her soul is.Mary was equally innocent but I feel Tshiring was at her purest when she shared her joy of being under the blessings of Lama with Gautam.Gautam's actions led him to consequences which caused pain to the other person as well, but his further acts made this book an interesting read since wanting to trace what actually happened when he gains his senses - another interesting part.I have a softcorner for the mountains, the life over there, so I really loved the simplicity described about people living there.Overall, it is indeed a well structured book and a good read!
