excellent replicator!
I’ve been using the OREI 8K HDMI Splitter 1 X 8 in my lab lobby to replicate a huge logo display, and it’s been fantastic. The image replication is excellent, and I love how it works seamlessly with any HDMI source to any display. The imagery is clean, and the crisp changeover between screens is smooth and reliable. At around $160, I think this splitter is great value for money. It delivers exactly what I needed for high-quality image duplication with no loss in clarity or performance. If you need a dependable HDMI splitter, I highly recommend this one.An STG Synergies BTN Enterprises Review!

Good video and audio signal. no issues with quality, easy plug and play
This is a splitter and not a switch so let us get that out of the way. It will only duplicate one signal out to multiple sources. That being said, this was a good device to have for the office. I needed to have all the monitors in the office presenting the same information throughout the office and so I purchased this. The device is pretty small and compact so it makes it easier to conceal. It also does not require a remote so you can actually put behind things without needing to really access it unless it is to check a cable. The device does not come with any HDMI cable so you need to purchase that separately but you do get a power adapter as this device does require external power to work. It is pretty much plug and play without any issue. There were no issues with video or sound. The video was very good quality and there were no glitching or video flickering. The sound quality work great using the stock TV sound. It works great with every TV we have in the office. All my televisions are the same so I am not sure what it would be like if you happen to plug this into two different televisions with different resolutions unfortunately. The device does not run hot so that is a plus. The plug is durable but I am not sure what to replace it with if it happens to burn out but so far it has worked great. The packaging could be better. It feels like the manufacture always packs it like something has opened it. The cables are sliding around and they fall out of the bag as they are not properly sealed. Overall this device does the job if you need to output to 8 different screens. It does not require any driver installation and it is simple to setup. It does not require any remote but you do need to get your own HDMI cables. The device does run warm but not hot. It does light up to indicate which device is drawing signal. The only thing is that the manufacturer needs to do a better job with how they package their products.

High grade equipment
Very good splitter with a nice variety of options that it supports.I needed a splitter to output Xbox HDMI to multiple screens, and ran across this. Its kinda the equivilent of needing to move a hutch, so you get a semi. Overkill. But I figured that if I had this overkill unit then I wouldn't be needing to upgrade it in a year or two if my needs changed. Or, more likely my needs expanded to fit the system I could support. It just works. I'm not a videophile, dont need to worry about the up/downscaling aspect, etc. just want a good splitter thats bullet and future proof. Suspect I've found it here. I do agree that usually "professional grade" cables are snake oil, but finding ones that are good RF shielded is usually the same as "pro" and if you have a lot of stray RF or other electrical noise, its worth upgrading if your video quality seems wonky.

Good performance, but downscaling 8k to 4k only works with chroma 4:2:0 subsampling
My initial impression of this HDMI splitter was very good. Leaving the splitter in the default EDID pass-through mode, I set it up between a PC and a single 8k display. It successfully passed through the 8k output. The output used full chroma 4:4:4 at 60 Hz, 10-bit high dynamic range (HDR) colour, variable refresh rate (VRR), Dolby TrueHD multichannel audio, etc.Unfortunately, when I added a 4k@60 Hz display, downscaling didn’t work. The 4k display reported no signal. I tried turning off VRR, but the result was the same. To get downscaling to work, I had to use one of the manual 8k EDID settings, which had some negative effects on the output quality. The 8k output remained at 60 Hz with HDR and Dolby TrueHD, but chroma was subsampled to 4:2:0 and VRR was disabled. With chroma 4:2:0 subsampling, the luminance is 8k, but colour is only 4k, with each 2×2 group of 4 pixels sharing a single colour. That’s fine for video, which is often subsampled during encoding, and probably gaming, but it degrades text quality, especially with certain colour combinations and if subpixel rendering is enabled. In my initial testing, the signal seemed stable, without glitches. However, after some testing in 4k@120 Hz, including some games, switching back to 8k with pass-through EDID resulted in glitching. Every so often, the display would go black for a second or two, before recovering. The issue could be heat-related, as stressing the GPU created a lot of heat, and the splitter was next to the PC.Beyond performance, the build quality looks good, and the brand is generally reliable.Overall, this splitter performs well with manual EDID configuration, which disables VRR and, at least in 8k@60 Hz, subsamples chroma to 4:2:0. For scenarios where those are acceptable compromises, I can recommend it.
