It is so tiny so great for small crips and very portable. It would take you a long time to do your whole head tho because of the size, It worked well on the wig I was using and didn't melt it at all unless I held it on for like 20 seconds. There is only one heat setting so if I use this on my hair I would use a heat protectant.

I use this crimper for helping style wigs for cosplay. I’ve used it for ages now, and have recommended it to almost all of my friends by now, I know at least 3 of them ended up getting their own after borrowing mine!This just does wonders for achieving volume in any wig, allowing for endless crazy style options.Crimping the wig and then brushing it out achieves the big poofy look, which can be decreased and returned to almost flat again if you flat iron it afterwards.I’m a pretty clumsy person when it comes to making things or working on things, but I’ve yet to burn myself with this even once. (Not that it isn't a risk, I know a friend has burnt themselves with it, but it’s never been a mishap with me)I absolutely love that it has a variety of size options for the crimping as well! I usually use the smallest or second smallest option to achieve most of the looks I go for. The smaller the crimp, the greater the volume.Anyways if you’re a cosplayer looking for a great and inexpensive crimper, this is your product for sure. I swear by this crimper lol.

I almost gave this a 4 only because the plates are not very secure. It works great, I love the gloves, great addition cuz I like to grab the hot top and press harder with my hands. It heats up great, works great, quality is worth the price for sure. The heat resistant gloves r so great. Fast and efficient.

I recently had my hair cut into a shag and I wanted to get an 80s crimped look. I wasn't certain which size crimper to go with or if I'd even like the look. I ordered this one in a whim because it was low cost and had two different sizes (as well as a straightening option). I love it! If you're looking to find out if you like the crimped look and don't want to splurge on something more expensive, give this a try.

This is a great crimper that also happens to have straightening plates as well!Very easy to use, even for someone who has never used one before.Works great on wigs and on hair.Seems to be quite well made.Got this primarily to use of wigs, to go with costumes, and it seems as if it will be perfect. Easy to use, easy to transport and easy to store!

The media could not be loaded. I got this after a friend of mine showed me how she uses a crimping iron to give her super fine hair volume. I was skeptical and worried that I'd have crimped hair and look like I was back in the 80's. LOL! But her hair looks so great and smooth that I figured I'd give it a try. Since there are free returns there was nothing to lose. Oh my did it work!! My hair actually keeps the volume all day long without me having to use a ton of products. In order for me to not have the crimped hair look, I split my hair into 3 layers. I move the top 2 layers of hair out of the way and use the S-wave plate at the roots of the bottom layer of hair. I only crimp about half of the strand. I then go to the 2nd layer and do the same thing. Then I put the flat iron plate back on and straighten the top layer and the halves of the other layers that did not get crimped. Wait a minute or two for the hair to cool and then comb it out. Depending on your hair, you will most likely have to play around with it to find out what works best for you. I like that there's a range of temperatures to choose from. One thing to be aware of is the temperatures on the unit are in Celsius, not Fahrenheit. The numbers on the unit go from 160°Celsius (low)-220°Celsius (high), which correlates to 320°Fahrenheit (low)-430°Fahrenheit (high). That threw me for a loop at first. The plates are easy to put on an off. It includes a glove, which is great for when you need to change the plates in the middle of styling your hair. Just make sure you have something to put your hot plates on when you take them out of the iron, so you don't damage your countertop. I'm extremely happy with this crimping iron and the price is great too!

Not a great product. I bought thinning it would help with volume but it just makes your hair look awful. It’s also really small and cheap.
