Stainless steel joining plates, 10 pieces of 80mm x 40mm x 1.75mm thick flat joining plates. Each plate has 6 pre-drilled 5mm holes that are countersunk.The plates in this package have a peel off film that can leave some sticky ( see image ) residue after peeling, once peeled off the top side of the plate has a brushed look/smooth finish, the sticky residue from the tape can be easily cleaned off with isopropyl fluid or similar.The edges of the plates have a few sharp/burrs here and there but can be easily smoothed off with a light sanding or filing along the edges.The plates have a 6 hole pattered layout giving an equal joining strength, all 10 plates in my package have a slight curve/bow in the middle but flatten down nicely once screwed down.Can't argue with the value of this product, work's out at a fraction under 60 pence per plate, TBH with you I would be willing to pay a little more for these plates to get better finishing/less sharp edges.This product would have scored 5 stars but has to lose 1 star for having some sharp edges and/or burring.1 star off for the sharp or burred edges.4 stars from me.

If this was a simple metal plate that was trying to be purely functional then these would be great. The product listing pictures clearly show them as a nice flush attractive finish with smooth edges. The product itself fails at this, with very sharp rough edges at each end and at the corners. I've included a photo to show this.The long edges have a fairly good finish. They are supplied with a protective plastic protection layer. The holes have the countersunk edge to allow screws to sit flush with the top surface. They appear strong and will function to join things together. However a product like this shouldn't have such a poor quality finish on the edges, risking someone cutting themselves.
